The County anticipates the Truckfill will be operational and available for public use before Christmas. n County Expands Recycling Options Saddle Hills County is participating in a new provincial pilot project which will allow residents to drop off a greater number of electronics products for recycling at its transfer stations. Included in the pilot project will be audio visual equipment, tele- com, cell phone and wireless devices, electronic gaming equipment, small home appliances, portable power tools, toys, musical instruments and solar panels. There will be no charge to recycle these items for the duration of the pilot. The electronics recycling pilot is a two-year project that expands the scope of electron- ic products Albertans can recycle without adding new consumer fees. It’s operated by the ARMA and will inform how government can advance electronics recycling in the future. n Savanna Ag Society AGM Nov 18 Savanna Agricultural Society’s AGM will be on November 18th at 8pm at the Savanna Rec-plex. COuNTy OffiCE The County office is now open to the public with Covid-19 preventative measures in place and limited access. n 2020 Christmas hamper Program Every year Saddle Hills County to- gether with FCSS accepts donations of food or cash for families in need during the Christmas season. This year, with COVID-19 restrictions and for anyone who feels uncomfortable providing credit card information over the phone we have added a GoFundMe option for those who wish to provide cash donations. (https://ca. gofundme.com/f/saddle-hills-coun- ty-christmas-hamper-program) We will need to hear from you no later than December 11, 2020 to help with this year’s campaign. Your help will be greatly appreciated by local families who rely on the Christmas Hamper. Donations of food are being accepted at the County office and at the following general stores: Blueberry General Store, Bonanza General Store, and MJ’s Woking General Store. Please have donations in no later than December 11th. Deliveries will be made on December 22 and 23. To nominate a family or to request a Christ- mas Hamper you may fill out the online form on the County’s website or call the office at 780-864-3760. n driveway Snowplow Agreements Driveway snowplow agreements for seniors and public are now available for the 2020/2021 season. Please ei- ther come into the County office and complete your appli- cation so you are on our snowplow list or fill in our online form on the County website.
