This last Sunday was a great day at God’s House. Interestingly enough, one of the highlights of this past Sunday was our quarterly business meeting.

Our Deacons recommended and our church approved starting the process of enlisting the service of new Deacons. So our Committee on Committees will be recruiting the Deacon Selection Committee and get the ball rolling.

We also voted to allow our Personnel Committee to begin the process of searching for a new Youth Pastor. This is a very important task, so, please be in prayer for the committee, which consists of Dee Teal (Chair), Valerie Jones (Vice-Chair), Mary Lou Kropp, Cherylann Dozier, Scott Richard, and Cathy Rankin.

Donna and I were truly blessed as well by the gift the Deacons presented to us Sunday during the business meeting for Pastor Appreciation month. Thank you so much! We also want to thank everyone who has passed along a card and/or gift to bless us this month. Thanks to you all.

Several folks were out this past Sunday. Let me tell you, those who missed, missed out! At 8:45 AM, the choir and other special music was over the top! On Sunday, November 8th, we will have our community Thanksgiving service at Central Christian Church, and Sarah Ervin, and Becky Anderson will be repeating the duet they did for our offertory this last Sunday, so you have another chance to be blessed. And the music during the 11:15 AM service was terrific, too! The band did the best they’ve done since playing for that service.

Due to sickness, travel, deer hunting, and a variety of other reasons, our attendance during the month of October has been the lowest it’s been for a while at FBC. If you haven’t been in a while, come on back! God is moving is great ways. Don’t miss out!

Let’s keep believing in God and in one another!

See you Sunday - Pastor Dave
