Ass bly altitdue was raised 1000' which caused the assembly to be slow. It was decided to hold the Group until 0843 and then go direct to CP . 1. The group was complete and in good formation on departure.

Buckeye oalled us just after e turned orr th br· efcd IP and told us the weather s cle r further along the route, and aivised us to ick up a T.O. there, so we abandoned our P F run on the Pri ry and proceeded to look for a T.O. e picked up the town of eizenburg and a rted a run on it but h lf way down we aa: another group hit it so we 1 ooked for another target and p•ilk•d up Ottingen. e aw th t so P-One els hit the center of to~ ao the bombardier aimed at the road bridge. over the river, just East of the town. 11 shins sal voed . '!he E E worked okay . Bomb strikes covered the Aiming oi t with excellent results~

Lead Squaaron: Domb strikes were seen to hit the aimi ng point and ~trike photo indicate excellent r sults.
Low Squadron: Because of loose formation th pattern s scattered but there ere Aany strikes on the marshalling yards and lines leading
to it.
High SquadrOn: Bomb strikes fell in a loose pa tte but covered the bridge d the trac s le dir~g up to it on either side.

12 Scheduled A/C EET and attacked a target of opporuttnity, dro ing 93 X 500/i RDX and ~9 :1 600/1= GP bombs. The spar returned 3 RDX and 9 GP bo bs to base.
All 12 Shoeduled A/C EET and attacked a target of opportunity, dropping 79 X 50ojjRDX and 64 X 560l' GP bombs. Spare A/C returned its 1 X1 s to base.
12 A/C T and attacked target s of opryortunity. 11 A/C attacked Ottingen dro ping 77 X 500/,' RDX and 54 X 5()()/j GP bombs. A/C
941 encountered release trouble and d opped 12 X 50af GP'a on large highway at 4855-l022:g. Aborting AfC f60'1 returned 12 X 500/I GP bombs to base.
