Haultain Resources Ltd. of 219 Worthington Street
West, North Bay, Ontario, PlB 3B5 holds thirty-two
contiguous unpatented mineral claims in northwest Scadding
Township, twenty-two miles northeast of Sudbury, Ontario.
Access is easy, vi i Highway 17 east from Sudbury to
the Kukagami gravel road thirteen miles north, then by
old logging roads traversing the property.
The claims were acquired in 1982 to conduct
detailed exploration on the former Alwyn Porcupine Mines
Ltd. gold-copper mine on the property, which produced
7000 tons grading 0.20 oz gold per ton and 3% copper early
in this century. Previous work was haphazard and primitive,
and has been described in detail in Reports to the
Haultain Directors by the undersigned dated October 18 and
October 31, 1982, which detailed results of preliminary
geophysical surveys by Haultain and recommended a program
of further geophysical work to expand information on
newly found anomalies and provide necessary work for
assessment purposes. This has now been completed and the
necessary Report of Work is ready to file.
A strong electrical conductor has been discovered'
on claim 647671 parallel to a diabase dyke identified by
high magnetics. A strong north-striking fault is
interpreted by the undersigned to offset both the dyke
and the conductor.

The complete overburden cover precludes explanation
of the conductor which closely resembles the geophysical
format of the area in the vicinity of the old Alwyn
gold-bearing copper sulphide zone, where selected samples
of chalcopyrite-rich quartz breccia zone material assayed
as high as 1.91 oz gold per ton.
A program of shaft dewatering and underground
sampling of the known mineralized zone is recommended
together with further geophysical work on the outlying
claims which have not yet been explored. Phase II is
recommended to be 5000 feet of diamond drilling to
extend the known zone and to test the newly discovered
electrical conductor.

PROPERTY, LOCATION, ACCESS
The 32 claim property is located in northwest
Scadding Township, Ontario. The claim numbers are
S647663-S647682 inclusive and S630253-S630264 inclusive.
Access is easy, via Highway 17 east from Sudbury
for 25 miles to the Kukagami gravel road north 13 miles
and then by old logging roads which traverse the property.
The 15 claims covered by the recent work are S647669-
S647671; S647675-S647678; S647681-S647682; S630253-S630256;
S630261-S630262.

SCALE l500 1000
R. J. Graham 06/05/83
GEOPHYSICAL SURVEYS AND RESULTS
The geophysical surveys covering claims S647675-
S647678 and S647681-S647682 were described in a Report
by the undersigned to the Directors of Haultain on
October 31, 1982 and will not be repeated here. The
surveys carried out in the Spring of 1983 covered the
9 claims numbered S647669-S647671; S630253-S630256 and
S630261-S630262 inclusive.
Lines at 400 foot intervals on an astronomic north
bearing were used to control the geophysical surveys
on the above claims. A total of 6 miles of lines were
read at 100 foot stations with a Unimag G836 Proton
Magnetometer and a Crone Radem V.L.F. E-M unit, the
latter using 50 foot interpolated stations for the purpose
of defining crossover axes. The Contractor was
Mr. P.A.R. Brown of Corbeil, Ontario, and the field
work was personally supervise 3 by the undersigned.
On the southwest grid over the big muskeg area
which extends southeast from Scadding Bay on Lake
Wanapitei, a strong magnetic linear high strikes 120 0
astronomic across claim S647671. It is 150 feet in width
and sharply defines an olivine diabase dyke. A north-
striking fault is interpreted by the undersigned just
east of line 23W. This clearly shifts the east side
of the dyke about 350 feet to the north. The V.L.F. E-M

survey in this area outlined a powerful electrical
conductor which lies 250 feet south of and parallel to
the dyke west of the fault, and adjacent and parallel
to the south side of the dyke east of the fault. This
indicates that the conductor dips flatter than the dyke.
It is highly significant that this geophysical pattern
is a duplicate of that in the vicinity of the old
Alwyn Porcupine gold-bearing copper zone, a nd that the
newly discovered anomaly has never been explored. In
addition, during the survey several pieces of intensely
altered and brecciated quartz-rich float weighing about
50 Ibs. each were found just east of the fault at a point
400 feet south of the conductor. The quartz was mineralized
with chalcopyrite and is characteristic of the Alwyn
Porcupine type zone. This mineralized float lends credence
to the recommended follow-up program as detailed elsewhere
in this Report. The magnetometer survey in the vicinity
of the Alwyn shaft outlined several strong magnetic
linears which represent olivine diabase dykes. Some
faulting is indicated, probably related to the McLaren
Lake Fault which is identified by a very strong V.L.F. E-M
conductor. This conductor dominates any possible nearby
electrical conductors, and effectively masks them.
Further work here should include test traverses using
Induced Polarization to outline possible concentrations of
gold-bearing disseminated sulphides.

CONCLUSIONS
The recent geophysical surveys have resulted in the
discovery of a strong electrical conductor resembling
that in the vicinity of the old Alwyn gold-bearing
copper zone.
Further work is justified to explain this anomaly
and to explore the outlying claims not yet covered by
linecutting and geophysical surveys.
