Point
Point: An undefined term in geometry, it names a location an has no size.
Line (Segment)
Line (Segment): A straight line which links two points without extending beyond them.
Plane
Plane: an undefined term in geometry, it is a flat surface that has no thickness an extends forever.
Angle
Angle: A figure formed by two rays with a common endpoint.
Perpendicular Lines
Perpendicular Lines: lines that intersect at 90° angles.
Parallel Lines
Parallel Lines: Lines that do not intersect.
Triangle
Triangle: A three-sided polygon.
Right Triangle
Right Triangle: A triangle with one right (90°) angle.
Pentagon
Pentagon: A five-sided polygon.
Hexagon
Hexagon: A six-sided polygon.
Square
Square: A quadrilateral with four congruent sides an four congruent right (90°) angles.
Rectangle
Rectangle: A quadrilateral with four right (90°) angles.
Trapezoid
Trapezoid: A quadrilateral with exactly one pair of parallel lines.
Parallelogram
Parallelogram: A quadrilateral with two pairs of parallel lines.
Circle
Circle: The set of points in a plane that are a fixed distance from a given point called the center of a circle.
Cylinder
Cylinder: A three-dimensional figure with two parallel congruent circular bases and a curved lateral surface that connects the bases.
Sphere
Sphere: The set of points in space that are a fixed distance from a given point called the center if the sphere.
Cube
Cube: A prism with six square faces.
Rhombus (Diamond)
Rhombus: A quadrilateral with four congruent sides, which is often called a diamond.
Decagon (Star)
Decagon: A ten-sided polygon, which is often called a star.
