KEYPROJECTS-2018Toowoomba Second Range Crossing – DHH rotary air and HQ core holes ranging in depth from 30m to 120m, for the installation of inclinometers and vibrating wireline piezometers. The boreholes were completed utilising various methods and techniques, including HWT casing advancer system and ROBIT 220mm DHH casing advancing system
Anglo American Dawson - Kianga Creek Diversion, 15+ vertical and angle HQ boreholes with core orientation
Torres Straight Islands – Mabuiag and Coconut Island, hand auger holes and rotary air boreholes up to 18m deep for environmental monitoring installations. The project involved the coordination of the drilling rig and air compressor to be sea freighted to Mabuiag Island via Horn Island with the involvement of Biosecurity Australia
BMA Saraji – Drilling and installation of vibrating wireline piezometers up to 25m in depth for a tailings dam
BMA Blackwater - TCP stacker replacement, several shallow 10m holes with CBR sampling
CRR – 30+ difficult access boreholes within inner city Brisbane and in the QR corridor. Acoustic televiewer, packer testing and angle holes to 50m+ depth with multiple rigs
Skyway – Inclinometers and vibrating wireline piezometers for the Brisbane Airport upgrade

During his time with the company, Tom has progressed through the ranks from a driller’s assistant, to driller and then under the company’s supervision he attained an ADITC accreditation in a Diploma of Drilling Operations. In 2017, Tom purchased the business from his father to continue the family name into the next generation of drilling.
Tom is a dedicated leader, focused on guiding staff and subcontractors to deliver high-quality projects. He consistently delivers on schedule and on budget. Tom’s focus on teamwork, safety culture and stakeholder relationships are strongly aligned with GeoDrill Australia’s company values.

Starting out as a drilling offsider, David has progressed to work in a number of supervisory and management roles within the industry. He is passionate about drilling with extensive experience and understanding of drilling techniques and the industry.
David is responsible for ensuring the drilling programs, policies and instructions are properly directed and communicated to the drilling teams. He provides his expert knowledge and technical support to the drilling teams and ensures activities are undertaken safely and in a cost effective and timely manner. David is consistently looking for opportunities to improve process, in turn providing for time and cost savings for our clients.
