Legacy of patriarchal ideology.
In 2003, 70 women died at the hands of their
partners (boyfriends, husbands, ex-boyfriends, ex-husbands). This represents a 34% increment since2002.
In 2004, 12 women have already died victims of
domestic violence. Implementation of government measures to protect
women against violence in the home.
Increase in the number of claims and reports by
victims of domestic violence.
