The bilateral agreement, previous amendments and two extensions of the agreement are contained in COM.TEX/SB/764, 765, 784, 802, 1021, 1062, 1110, 1120 and 1141 and TEX.SB/1257.

Pursuant to the Arrangement Regarding International Trade in Textiles, I am instructed by my government to inform the Textiles Surveillance Body of an increase in consultation levels for two categories and, thereby, the amendment of the six-month extension of the cotton, wool and man-made fiber textile agreement between the Government of the United States

,vHof America and the Government of Singapore, which was notified — under separate cover this date.

The categories involved were:

UNITED STATES AND SINGAPORE AMEND BILATERAL TEXTILE AGREEMENT

The United States and Singapore exchanged notes in Washington to effect an amendment to the bilateral textile agreement between the two governments. Texts of the notes follow.

Dear Miss Yoke:

I am writing with reference to Paragraph 5 of the Agreement between the United States and Singapore relating to trade in Cotton, Wool and Man-made Fiber Textiles and Textile Products, with annexes,, effected by exchange of notes August 21, 1981, as amended ("the Agreement") and to your Government's request of February 4, 1986 to increase the consultation levels for Categories 336 and 637.

On behalf of my Government,.I would like to propose that in place of MCLs, the following DCLs be established for Category 336 and 637 for January 1 through June 30, 1986.
