“Is it sufficient if one lives with faith, a life of good conduct and noble aspirations?, or, Is it necessary
that one must know the Shastras and obey the injuctions laid down by Shastras?” - asks Arjuna. The
philosopher in Krishna takes this opportunity to give a thorough exposition of FAITH as seen in the
numerous fields of man’s endeavours: food consumed,
deities worshipped, disciplines pursued, etc. Let us embark
upon the study of chapter 17: śraddhā-traya-vibhāga-yogaḥ and strive to understand our own nature through a careful
examination of our beliefs and conduct.

as a man’s faith is, so is he.
