Our Emblem

Its Significance

The CAAS has its emblem, the lamp and the ‘Hamsa’ bird. In the light of theKnowledge (represented by the lamp) the discriminative power of the humanintellect (represented by the Hamsa bird) is to be developed. Our traditiondescribes Hamsa as a bird that can drink milk alone from a mixture of milkand water. The human intellect with its discriminative power must be able todiscriminate between spirit and matter and must come to enjoy the spiritualessence in the world of names and forms. Thus the emblem indicates that thefunction of CAAS is to help youngsters in developing ethical values and

cultivating in them discriminative intellect.
