Gee Lamella Clarifiers

Product Overview Gee’s Lamella Clarifiers are designed to remove particulates from liquids. They are often employed in primary water treatment in place of conventional settling tanks. They are also used in industrial water treatment. Unlike conventional clarifiers they use a series of inclined plates. These inclined plates provide a large effective settling area for a small footprint. The inlet stream is slowed upon entry into the clarifier. Solid particles begin to settle on the plates and begin to accumulate in collection hoppers at the bottom of the clarifier unit. The sludge is drawn off the hoppers and the clarified liquors exit the unit at the top of the weir. Applications

• Used in a range of industries from mining, metal finishing, as well as ground water applications.

• Ideal for applications where the solids loadings is variable and solids sizing is fine and more common in than conventional clarifiers in industry due to the smaller footprint.

• Pre treatment for effluent entering membrane filters.

• Part of tertiary treatment in waste water applications.

Construction The design will vary according to the application, but typically: - • Mild steel construction, coated with

epoxy zinc primer and epoxy top coat. All wetted surfaces are high solid glass flake.

• Removable PVC plates at 50mm spacing.

• Flanged inlet and outlet connections.

• Top mounted, stirrer raked bar. • Galvanised mild steel access

platform & stairs to give four sided access .
