GURGAON HOLIDAY HOMEWORK 2016-17 CLASS VIII
Dear Children,
We are sure that you must be enjoying your summer vacation!
Helping your parents, exercising regularly, reading a story book/newspaper daily, taking care of plants in
the house as well as in the neighbourhood, helping those in need, being kind, courteous and polite are
some of the Goenkan traits we would like you to keep in mind even during the summer vacation.
It will be wonderful if you are able to spend some time with your grandparents and in your own way,
make them feel special and happy. Visit one or two monuments, museums, art galleries and markets
with your family members during the vacation and learn some new activity of your interest.
The teachers have designed the Holiday Homework in such a way that it will be beneficial for you to
revise the Unit Test syllabus. The projects and worksheets will be graded and would be a part of the
Formative Assessments evaluation. Please complete the work and bring it to school on Friday, July 01,
2016.

Instructions for compilation of Holiday Homework
1. All homework is to be done on A4 size sheets (unless told to do otherwise by subject teachers) and
compiled in a hard bound file / folder. Design an attractive cover for your file / folder.
2. You may use different colour A4 size sheets for different subjects. Have a labelled cover page for each
subject. All sheets of a subject should be put together / tied together and handed over to the respective
subject teachers on the first day of rejoining after summer break.
3. Attach all the worksheets along with the homework sheets.
4. The written part should be neatly presented in your own handwriting and not printed. Your work
should be your own and not done by an adult. Take the help of your parents only when necessary.
