1. Alton C. Crews Educator Scholarships (Open to applicants district-wide)

A one-time award of $1,500 sponsored by the GCPS Foundation will be presented to a graduating

senior from Gwinnett County Public Schools. One or more recipients may be named.

Requirements: Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA on 4 pt scale, exhibit good character and

leadership skills, provide a letter of reference from a school administrator, and submit a two page essay

2. Automotive Group Rick Case Scholarship (Open to applicants district-wide).

Established in 2015 and sponsored by Automotive Group Rick Case, this scholarship is a

one-time award of $2,000 to be presented to a Gwinnett County Public Schools high school graduating

senior advancing to post-secondary study in one of the fifteen Automotive Service Technology and

Automotive Technology certificate or diploma programs offered through Gwinnett Technical College.

One or more recipients may be named pending qualified candidates.

Requirements: Applicant submit copy of transcript with GPA; must submit a 300 word essay on

interest and/or experience in the automotive technology field; provide a letter of recommendation from

a school administrator and/or community member; and have plans to enroll in a program accredited

by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation, Inc./Automotive Service Excellence

3. Dr. Barbara Reed Science Scholarship (Open to applicants district-wide)

A one-time award of $1,000 will be presented to a graduating senior from Gwinnett County

Public Schools with an interest in a post-secondary science field with an emphasis placed on

applicants interested in science education.

Requirements: Applicant must have a minimum 2.7 GPA on 4 pt scale, provide letter of

reference from faculty member, and submit a one page essay describing interest in a STEM

4. United Ebony Society of Gwinnett Robbie Susan Moore Scholarship (Open to applicants district-wide) A one-time award for college-bound Gwinnett County Public School seniors who are planning to

attend a 2-4 year college or university. One or more winners will receive $1000 each. Selection is based

on participation in a leadership role in community service activities or volunteer work and a

8. GCPS Foundation Excellence in Academics Scholarship (Open to applicants district-wide)

A one-time award in the amount of $500 to the valedictorian from each high school in Gwinnett

County Public Schools. No application necessary.

9. GCPS Foundation Multicultural Scholarship (Open to applicants district-wide)

Established in 2015 and sponsored by the Gwinnett Multicultural Advisory Committee, this scholarship

is a one-time award of $1,000 presented to a college bound GCPS senior of Hispanic, African

American, Asian/Pacific Islander or other minority origin. One or more recipients may be named.

Emphasis will be placed on participation in leadership roles, community service, or volunteer work

demonstrating a commitment to making a difference in the community.

Requirements: Applicant must have a with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA out of 4 points; submit a

300 word essay on community involvement; provide a letter of recommendation from a school

This scholarship is one-time award of $1,500 to one or more GSMST graduating seniors.

14. Gwinnett Gladiators Aim High Scholarship (Open to applicants district-wide)

A one-time award of $1,000 will be presented to a Gwinnett County Public Schools high school

graduating senior with a desire to pursue a profession in the sports medicine, sports management,

entertainment, event planning, or similarly related career and with plans to enroll in an accredited

college or university for fall 2016.

Requirements: Applicant must have a minimum 2.7 GPA on 4 pt scale, provide a letter of reference

from a faculty member, and submit a one page essay describing interest.

15. Hope McKenzie Scholarship (Open to Grayson HS applicants only)

A one-time award of $1,000 will be presented to a student excelling in the arts at Grayson High

School. The award is presented by the McKenzie family in memory of Hope McKenzie.

16. J. Alvin Wilbanks Educator Scholarship (Open to applicants district-wide)

A one-time award of $2,500 sponsored by Peach State Federal Credit Union and the GCPS Foundation

will be presented to two graduating seniors from Gwinnett County Public Schools.

Requirements: Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA on 4 pt scale, exhibit good character and

leadership skills, provide a letter of reference from a school administrator, and submit a two page essay

17. J. Floyd and Eunice Brannan Scholarships (Open to applicants district-wide)

A $1,000 award payable for 4 consecutive years (subject to satisfactory performance and progress) will

be presented to a graduation senior from Gwinnett County Public Schools. A minimum four recipients

will be named. One award is specifically for a recipient of Central Gwinnett High School per donors

wishes. Additional recipients will be selected from applicants district-wide.

Requirements: Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA on 4 pt scale, have a concern for others as

demonstrated by significant community service activities, have plans to attend a four-year college or

university, indicate financial need, provide a letter of reference from a school administrator, and agree

to submit transcript verifying minimum 3.0 GPA maintained each college year to receive future

disbursements. The next granting period will be the school year 2016-2017.

18. Jim Maran STEM Scholarship (Open to applicants district-wide)

A one-time award of $1,000 will be presented to a Gwinnett County Public Schools high school

graduating senior in honor of James J. Maran, Gwinnett County Chamber of Commerce past president.

Requirements: Applicant must have a minimum 2.7 GPA on 4 pt scale, plans to enroll full-time in an

undergraduate course of study in science, technology, engineering, or math, provide a letter of

reference from a faculty member, and submit a one page essay describing interest in a STEM related

19. JJ Campbell Memorial Scholarship (Open to Lanier HS applicants)

A one-time award of $500 will be awarded to a student excelling at Lanier High School. The award is

presented by the Campbell family in memory of JJ Campbell.

20. John A. Raghu Music Scholarship (Open to GSMST applicants only)

Established in 2012 by the Raghu family in recognition of the outstanding education received by their

son, John A. Raghu, while a student in Gwinnett County Public Schools.

This scholarship is a one-time award of $1,000 to an orchestra member, with preference to bassist, who

participates in community service and has a weighted GPA of 3.0 or better. The award recipient will be

selected by the music program administration of GSMST high school.

21. Judy Patterson Legacy Memorial Scholarship Open to Archer HS applicants only)

A one-time award of $1000 to a senior who exhibits good character and meets the requirements of

graduation. The award can be applied to any form of post-secondary study that leads to employment.

22. Kurt Simpson Memorial Scholarship (Open to Lanier HS applicants only)

A one-time award of $2,000 will be awarded to a student excelling at Lanier High School. The award

is presented by the Simpson family in memory of Kurt Simpson.

23. Louise Radloff Scholarship (Open to applicants district-wide)

A one-time award of $2,500 sponsored by Peach State Federal Credit Union and the GCPS Foundation

will be presented to two graduating seniors from Gwinnett County Public Schools. This award has no

minimum GPA and can be applied to any form of post-secondary training or study that leads to

employment.

Requirements: Applicant should exhibit good character and tenacity, demonstrate involvement in

community or school activities, provide a letter of reference from a school administrator, and submit a

two page essay detailing a significant challenge that was met and overcome in order to meet the

24. Reid Mullins Scholarship (Open to South Gwinnett applicants only)

This is a one-time award of $1000. This scholarship will be awarded to a deserving graduating senior

in honor of Reid Mullins for his many years of service to Snellville Middle School and Gwinnett’s first

middle school principal. Contact the counseling office of South Gwinnett High School for details.

25. Robert L. Campbell Memorial Scholarship (Open to Phoenix HS applicants only)

This is a one-time award of $1,000 in honor of Robert L. Campbell. The winner will be selected by the

faculty of Phoenix High School. One or more recipients may be named.

26. SCANA Energy Community Service Scholarships (Open to applicants district-wide)

SCANA Energy’s commitment to its customers includes being a good neighbor and making a

difference in the lives of the customers served.

children in grades two through five can spend time after school working on homework assignments and

Dr. Janice L. Calkins SLP Scholarship A one-time stipend of $1,000 to a Gwinnett County Public School employee holding a bachelors degree in

speech language pathology and seeking a Master of Science degree in speech language pathology from a

college or university accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech

Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Previous winners are

eligible to reapply.

Requirements: Applicant must be a GCPS full-time employee with a minimum of one year of experience,

in good standing per evaluation process, with letter of endorsement from a supervising speech

language pathologist or district administrator, and a willingness to continue employment with GCPS in a

full or part time capacity once masters is complete. Applicants may apply or be nominated by a supervisor.

Submit letter of interest and endorsement to GCPS Foundation office for review by a committee chaired by

Dr. Jan Calkins (retired) - Deadline February 6, 2016

Dr. Janice L. Calkins SLP Innovative Practices Grant A one-time stipend of $500 to a Gwinnett County Public School employee will be presented in the fall and

will provide a one-time award to a fully certified Gwinnett County Public School speech language

pathologist who has demonstrating exceptional creativity, initiative and effectiveness leading to an increase

in student achievement.

Requirements: applicant must be a full-time employee of Gwinnett County Public Schools, with a

minimum of two years of experience, in good standing per evaluation process, with letter of endorsement

from a supervising speech language pathologist or district administrator. Note: Recipient may apply or be

nominated by a supervisor.

Dr. Robert (Bob) Clarke Memorial Scholarship

Established in 1985, this scholarship was established in honor of Dr. Bob Clarke, a school psychologist in

Gwinnett County Public Schools from 1979-1984.

A one-time stipend of $1,000 will be awarded to a Gwinnett County Public School educator seeking to

increase their knowledge and skills in human behavior. One or more recipients may be named per year.

Requirements: Applicant must be a GCPS full-time employee with a minimum of one year of experience,

in good standing per evaluation process, with letter of endorsement from a supervisor or district

administrator, and a willingness to continue employment in the district in a special education capacity.

Applicants may apply or be nominated by a supervisor. Submit letter of interest and endorsement to

Mr. Tom Owen, Division of Curriculum and Support, Psychological Services Department for review

by the selection committee - Deadline February 6, 2016.

GCPS Foundation Innovative Learning Grants

Established in 2012, Innovative Learning Grants have funded hundreds of academic enrichment projects to

local schools for the benefit of K-12. Grants have benefitted every cluster in the district as well as projects

that blanket district-wide.

The 2016 application will be available online beginning August 1, 2016 at www.gcps-foudantion.org

The deadline is October 31, 2016.

Recipients will be announced in November and recognized at the annual GCPS Foundation Holiday

Gathering hosted by business partner and 2015 Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce public service award

winner, Primerica of Duluth.

Peach State Federal Credit Union Student Scholarships Recognizing the importance of education as a lifelong experience, the Board of Directors of Peach State

Federal Credit Union is proud to announce that Peach State Federal will award 15 $2,000 Career

Advancement Scholarships in May. The scholarships honor the founders of Peach State Federal and will be

awarded to eligible members of our credit union. Applications will be available on our Web site

AT&T Foundation Scholarship

The AT&T Foundation has announced the continuation of their scholarship program with UNCF to provide

scholarships for African-American children or step-children of current regular full-time employees of

AT&T, Inc. and its U.S. Subsidiaries. Applicants must be a high school senior (planning to enroll in) or an

undergraduate student attending any accredited two or four-year college or university. The candidates must

have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. The applicants must be 25 years old or

younger. The awards of $2,500 will be granted to recipients attending a four-year college or university

while the recipients of a two-year college will receive $1,500.

Daughter of the American Revolution (DAR) Scholarship

All applicants must be citizens of the United States and must attend or plan to attend an accredited college or

university in the United States. DAR chapter sponsorship is not required; however, a chapter or state

chairman may work with the applicant to put the information together to send to the DAR Scholarship

Dr. Seuss Scholarship - Oh the Places You’ll Go

Award Amount $10,000

This is one of the fun but weird unknown scholarships for college, and one of the best scholarships for high

National Merit $2500 Scholarships One-time, nonrenewable awards of $2,500 made to high school seniors who qualify as Finalists in the annual

State Farm Companies Foundation Scholarship One hundred scholarships, ranging from $3,000 to $8,000 per year up to four years of college undergraduate

study, are awarded to academically talented legal dependents of eligible State Farm associates, agents and

retirees every year. The amount of the award takes into account the college educational costs, family financial

circumstances, and other scholarship aid the winner receives.

Target Scholarships

Scholarship Requirements: The primary requirement for all Target scholarships is based on the applicants’

involvement and service within their community in addition to their academic achievement.

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program

The application is currently open.

Initial Applications are accepted through Oct 31 of the senior year in high school.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Seniors in high schools throughout the United States who meet the eligibility requirements may apply

each year for one of 250 four-year, achievement-based scholarships.

Approximately 2,200 applicants will be selected as Semifinalists and notified by mail and email.

Semifinalists must then complete a secondary application, including essays, official transcripts, and two

letters of recommendation. Semifinalist applications are due by mid-January. Our Program Review

Committee will select 250 Finalists to advance to the final interview phase. Notifications are sent mid-

February.

In April, the 250 Finalists are invited to Atlanta for personal interviews. The Finalists are interviewed

by a National Selection Committee representing outstanding leaders in business, government, education

and the arts. 50 students are then designated as National Scholars and receive awards of $20,000 for

college; 200 students are designated as Regional Scholars and receive awards of $10,000 for college.

Military Commanders' Scholarship Fund The New York Chapter of the American Logistics Association sponsors up to ten $5,000 scholarships for

dependent children of active duty, reserve, National Guard or retired members of the United States military

who hold valid Exchange & Commissary shopping privileges at the time of application. Applicants must be

high school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll for the first time in a full-time undergraduate course of

study at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in fall. Applicants must have a minimum

school seniors who plan to attend college, technical, or vocational school, but may not be able to meet the

Dr. Pepper Million Dollar Tuition Giveaway Promotion and Contest Dr Pepper sponsored a nationwide promotion in which they gave away $1,000,000 in tuition assistance.

The promotion is open to anyone over the age of 18. Entrants submit a one-minute video explaining how they
