“Decides that, given the urgent need to support and expedite the formulation andimplementation of national adaptation plans and other adaptation planning processes,the Executive Director can approve up to USD 3 million per country through the GCFReadiness and Preparatory Support Programme modalities, in order to support theformulation of national adaptation plans and/or other national adaptation planningprocesses based on his/her assessment of country circumstances and needs, and takinginto consideration the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change nationaladaptation plan (NAP) technical guidelines and the importance of coordination andcomplementarity with other national adaptation plan related initiatives and support”

Capacity building programs on implementing adaptation investments and strategies established.

Monitoring and reporting system to track adaptation investments and implementation

Sector and area based costed investment plans prepared for scaling up adaptation in agriculture and coastal areas that take into account climate change risks and opportunities
