The Road Sensors Speed Measuring and Light Signals (Detection of Offences) Device (No. 2) Approval 2008

The Secretary of State in exercise of the powers conferred on her by Section 20(4) and (5) of the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988 (a) (Speeding offences etc: admissibility of certain evidence) and having prescribed for the purposes of section 20 of that Act-

(i) a device designed or adapted for recording a measurement of the speed of motor vehicles activated by means of sensors or cables on or near the surface of the highway (b) and

(ii) a device designed or adapted for recording by photographic or other image recording means the position of motor vehicles in relation to light signals (c),

hereby approves from the 19th of December 2008 for the purpose of detection of offences specified in sections 20( 2 )(a ) to ( e) of that Act the device known as the Gatsometer TLSC Type 36 Traffic Light and Speed Camera.
