Leafy Vegetable

i. Water Spinach, Ipomea aquatic

It is an easy vegetable to cultivate compare to other crops. Other than that, the vegetable is highly demand in market. It can be harvested after 3-4 months cultivation.

ii. Spinach, Spinacia oleracea

The reason for this vegetable has been chosen is slightly similar with the water spinach as both of crops are biological similar. The cultivation and maintenance need to be taken is same. Thus, the crops can be planted and harvested at the same time.

Fruity Vegetable

i. Lady’s Finger or Okra, Abelmoschus esculentus

The products of the plant are mucilaginous. It has highly demand and stable market price. The okra can be an annual or perennial plant. To maximise the gaining profit, the crop is harvesting twice.

ii. Long beans, Vigna unguiculata subsp. Sesquipedalis

The plant is subtropical/tropical and most widely grown in the warmer parts of Southeastern Asia, Thailand, and Southern China. The pods can be grown until 60cm long. This crop also has highly demand in local market.

This variety is a known variety produced from UPM. The fruit is big and the taste is sweet.
