Scouting the RamsLed by a dynamic duo performance from Tiffany Stokes and Randall Hurst, Fordham put an end to a 10-game slide with a 53-47 win over Rhode Island at the Rose Hill Gym on Saturday. It was Fordham’s first win against their Ram counterparts since 2006. Hurst leads the Rams scoring and rebounding adding 14.6 points per game and grabbing 6.8 caroms. Fordham has faced three of the same opponents as the Bonnies going 1-2 compared to the Bonnies 2-1.

Then-senior Kately Murray led the team with 11 points while current senior dana mitchell and former Bonnie Ashley Edwards both scored 10 points. st. bonaventure, n.Y. – Xavier’s 16-point performances by Ta’Shia Phillips and Special Jennings gave the Musketeers the edge they needed to put the St. Bonaventure women’s basketball team away, 62-53, on Saturday afternoon at the Reilly Center. The loss moves the Brown and White to 14-6 overall and 2-3 in the early Atlantic 10 season while No. 11/10 Xavier continues on a five-game winning streak and improves to 14-3 and a perfect 4-0 start to conference play. St. Bonaventure held the A-10’s leading scoring offense to its lowest point total in a victory this season using defense to hold the Musketeers to only 11 points off turnovers and seven second chance points. The Musketeers out-rebounded the Brown and White by 43-28 margin. Not only did Xavier have a huge edge on the glass, it also dominated the paint in terms of scoring the basketball. The Musketeers beat up St. Bonaventure in points in the paint, by a 38-18 margin. St. Bonaventure was led by senior dana mitchell who scored 13 points on 4-of-12 from the field and 4-for-4 from the line.
