Chris Oliver begins his fifth season as head football coach at Lindsey Wilson Col-lege in 2014. Oliver owns a 32-22 career record after starting the Lindsey Wilson football pro-gram from scratch beginning with the 2010 season. Oliver led the Blue Raiders to a program-high eight wins in 2013, narrowly miss-ing the NAIA playoffs. Lindsey Wilson finished last season with an 8-3 record and a No. 19 national ranking in the NAIA Football Coaches’ Postseason Top 25 Poll -- the highest ranking in the program’s history to finish a season. In 2013, Lindsey Wilson set 10 program records including scoring average (38.7), touchdowns scored (58), total offense (4,871 yards), passing yards (3,125), rushing yards (1,746), points allowed (259) and interceptions (14) just to name a few. The Blue Raiders also surpassed six single-game program records in 2013 -- points (72), margin of victory (63), touchdowns (10), passing yards (460), first downs (30) and fewest points allowed (3). Oliver earned his second American Football Coaches Association Region 1 Coach of the Year honor for last season’s efforts. He also earned the award in 2011 following the Blue Raiders’ 7-3 campaign. During his tenure, Oliver has recruited and coached 19 All Mid-South Conference performers and 18 honorable mention all-conference selections. In addition to the all-conference selections, Oliver has coached one Mid-South Conference Player of the Year and four MSC Freshmen of the Year. In the classroom, 15 Blue Raiders have earned NAIA Scholar Athlete honors while 51 earned Academic All MSC honors. During the program’s inaugural season in 2010, Oliver led the Blue Raiders to a 5-6 record with more than 95 percent of the team consisting of freshmen. Oliver picked up his first collegiate win as a head coach on Sept. 11 when the Blue Raiders beat Southern Virginia University 44-3 in Lindsey Wilson’s first-ever win at Blue Raider Stadium. Hired on January 7, 2009, Oliver has overseen ever aspect of bringing football back to Lindsey Wilson after a 75-year hiatus. Oliver’s first recruiting class consisted of 65 student-athletes. Prior to Lindsey Wilson, Oliver spent five seasons as assistant coach at Ohio Do-minican. He served as offensive coordinator at Ohio Dominican from 2006-08. Just like building the Lindsey Wilson program from scratch, Oliver helped start the Ohio Dominican football program. As the lead assistant and recruiting coordina-tor, Oliver spearheaded the recruitment of 160 student-athletes in 2004. During his time at Ohio Dominican, Oliver led one of the most prolific offenses in the NAIA. In 2006, Oliver’s offense ranked third in the NAIA in total offense and passing offense. The following season, the Panthers led the NAIA in total offense and passing, and they were second in scoring. In 2008, Ohio Dominican was third in passing and 11th in total offense. The Panthers were 26-7 while Oliver was ODU offensive coordinator, which in-cluded an appearance in the 2007 NAIA Football Championship Series quarterfinals. Prior to Ohio Dominican, Oliver served as a student-assistant at The Ohio State University. Oliver assisted with the Buckeyes’ tight ends and special teams. He also assisted with scouting and worked closely with recruiting. Oliver helped the Buckeyes to the 2001 Outback Bowl.

Game 6 - vs. Cumberlands Lindsey Wilson forced seven Cumberlands (Ky.) turnovers en route to a 31-28 win over the visiting Patriots at Blue Raider Stadium. The Blue Raider defense yielded just 14 points in the game. Cum-berlands scored the remainder of its points on a defensive scoop and score off a Lindsey Wilson fumble and a kickoff return for a touch-down to keep the game within reach. Lindsey Wilson offense struggled with its consistency today, espe-cially in the first half. Despite producing some big plays in the second half, the Blue Raiders finished the game converting just four of 17 third downs and none of their five fourth down tries. Lindsey Wilson also struggled in the red zone -- scoring on two of five trips inside the Patriots’ 20-yard line, including just one touchdown. The Blue Raid-ers had entered the game 19-of-22 in the red zone this season -- all touchdowns. No. 22-ranked Lindsey Wilson finished the game with 456 total yards of offense compared to 339 for the Patriots. Austin Howell led the Blue Raider defense with nine tackles, including two for a loss. Elery and Eric Shaw each finished with inter-ceptions.

Game 11 - vs. Georgetown No. 8-ranked Lindsey Wilson football captured the program’s first Mid-South Conference East Division title with a 35-28 upset of fifth-ranked Georgetown (Ky.) at Blue Raider Stadium. With the win, Lindsey Wilson claims the Mid-South East’s auto-matic bid into the NAIA Football Championship Series, which begins on Saturday, Nov. 22 at various sites across the NAIA. Lindsey Wilson sprinted out to a 35-7 lead in the early stages on the second half, but needed a defensive stand to secure the program’s first nine-win season. After Georgetown scored three straight touchdowns and was driv-ing for the potential tying score, the Lindsey Wilson defense recorded back-to-back sacks and forced an incompletion on 4th-and-20 to ultimately secure the win. The Blue Raiders improve to 9-2 overall and close out the regular season with a 6-0 mark in the MSC East. Georgetown slips to 8-2 and 5-1 in the East.
