When it’s time to retreat, enjoy nature and clear your mind, join us at Forrest Hills Resort and

let us take care of everything you need. We’ll provide meals, meeting space and the unique ability to rent your own private lodge featuring 8, 12 or 16 hotel-size rooms, hospitality suite with satellite TV, free WIFI, and covered porch. In your free time, relax in an outdoor hot tub or with a massage at our spa, cool off in the pool, show your competitive side on the sand volleyball courts or horseshoe pits, walk the nature trail, roast marshmallows at our bonfire arena or keep in shape in our fitness center. We are also the home to Gold City Corral riding stables offering horse adventures for the beginner or advanced rider, carriage and wagon rides and their most popular chuck wagon. Available for lunch or dinner, it’s a treat for all ages…just hop aboard a horse drawn wagon and ride out to the river house for a cookout with live entertainment.

• 4 informal group lodges (40 rooms combined), each featuring private hospitality room, free WIFI, covered porch, full or partial kitchen, and 8 to 16 hotel size rooms each with a private bath.   All are within easy walking distance to resort amenities.

• Our Inn features 12 BI-Level suites, hospitality suite, meeting room and outdoor hot tub.  Each spacious 1200 sq. ft. suite has two levels the ground floor has king bed, full bath, flat screen TV & private balcony.  The upper level boasts a sitting area with fireplace sleeper sofa, king bed, kitchenette and balcony.  Free WIFI throughout.

• For additional space we offer four

individual king rooms, and 29 private cabins, all with a hot tub & fireplace

sizes all with free WIFI. Our largest, the ballroom, seats up to 200.

‘It was so much fun and unique – people still talk about it.’

PROGRESSIVE RESTAURANTS’ annual general managers retreat is one of only two times each year our managers get together

to learn from one another, train & team build. Our retreat came just after we acquired seven

Taco Bells in the Miami area. It was the first time those restaurant managers had met their peers and those of us from the restaurant support center.

All the managers were housed in one

building, the Mt. Laurel Inn, featuring full accommodations, high-speed Internet connectivity and a dining/meeting area.

They enjoyed Southern-style food in the Hideaway Restaurant. The group held a volleyball tournament on Forrest Hills’ sand volleyball courts and enjoyed nearby canoeing. Forrest Hills’ famed “Chuck Wagon Ride” featured a horse-drawn wagon ride to the Riverhouse, steak & chicken cooked on the grill and a bon fire.

It was so much fun and unique – people still talk about it. No one in our party had ever done

anything like that before. Forrest Hills was an ideal location for us to do our retreat because of the facilities and seclusion in the Blue Ridge Mountains, which really allowed us to focus on our team-building goals and bring a sense of real camaraderie with our current team and the new Miami team.

The spacious meeting room and outside decks allowed ample room for our small group breakouts. It was a great, fun-filled experience – we look forward to making Forrest Hills a regular retreat destination for our team.
