picnic tables, multi-use courts, tennis courts, a basketball court, a volleyball
court, several athletic fields for softball and soccer, a drinking fountain,
security lighting, a parking lot and manual irrigation system.

OAK CLIFF FOUNDERS PARK1300 N Zang BlvdGeneral Description Approximately 4.6 acres in size with amenities including a plaza, a shelter, a
hard surface trail, parking lot, security lights and an automatic irrigation
system.

Capital Improvements No capital improvements were initiated at Oak Cliff Founders Park this fiscalyear.
FY 2008-09 Activity Highlights Friends of Oak Cliff Park hosted the annual park clean-up in cooperationwith Methodist Hospital. Additionally, the Friends of Oak Cliff Park
continued provision of various horticulture services within the park.

SAMUELL EAST100 E Hwy 80, MesquiteGeneral Description Samuell East is a large park that is divided by Highway 80. The area of
the entire park, both north and
south of Hwy 80, is approximately
609.6 acres. The area south of
Hwy 80 is commonly referred to as
Samuell Farm. The area north of
Hwy 80 is unfenced, open park
land.

with Mesquite ISD withapproximately 500 runners and
2000 spectators, the Sunnyfest

than 4500 attendees, Master
Composting class in
partnership with Texas Master
Naturalist, Boy Scout overnight
camping, an Eagle ScoutCleanup, and Urban Forestry Workshop. The City partnered with Texas
Parks and Wildlife in stocking the ponds including donating 800 trout and
400 catfish. Major maintenance activities included forestry services,
electrical services, irrigation and plumbing, fencing, repairing roads and
securing Dr. Samuells cottage.

amphitheater, golf driving range, security lighting, parking lots, manual and
automatic irrigation systems.

Revenues $113,488Capital Improvements Projects initiated at Samuell Grand Park include facility and lighting
improvements at the Amphitheater, replacement of HVAC and HVAC

replacement, design and replacement of the tennis center.
