our June 7, 2018 Stated Meeting. (Four members of Lodge 331 joined the Fall Reunion. Each member received

a check for 25% off their initiation fee; and all members of Lodge 331 who are Scottish Rite Masons received a

STORY OF THE CRUCIFIXION

You are invited to attend the observance of the “Story of the

Crucifixion” at the Greater Pittsburgh Masonic Center on Palm

Sunday, March 25th at 3:00 p.m. The enactment will be sponsored

by the past and present officers of Pittsburgh Chapter of Rose Croix

with James C. Mayes, 32°, Most Wise Master presiding. This

presentation presents a very special opportunity to invite both family

and friends to an inspirational production by the Valley degree

workers. There is no charge for the passion play. Dinner served

after the performance will be $10/person. Tickets must be paid for

May 24th Celebration of Education Recognition Dinner

Awarding of Scholarships and Masonic Honorees

►This is our 19th year to award Leon M. Abbott Scholarships, which provide financial support for the

continuing education of young men and women from Scottish Rite families and Masonic-related youth

groups.

►This is the 15th year to award $1,000 Valley Scholarships to students pursuing college degrees. It was

in 2003, the Valley of Pittsburgh Executive Committee voted to award additional ten $1,000 scholarships.

Eligible Additional Criteria is a child or grandchild of a Scottish Rite Mason from the Valley of

Pittsburgh or a graduate of the Pittsburgh Children’s Dyslexia Center.

►This is the 15th Annual Awards presentation to four Masons who are being distinguished as exemplary

family men. Each man is chosen by one of the four bodies (Gourgas Lodge of Perfection; the

Pennsylvania Council Princes of Jerusalem; the Pittsburgh Chapter of Rose Croix; and the Pennsylvania

Consistory). Each Mason must belong to a Masonic Lodge but are not necessarily a member of the

Scottish Rite.

Criteria for Abbott Scholarship Eligibility

Student must have a minimum grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.

A current high school senior/incoming freshman for Fall 2018 at accredited college/university.

A sophomore, junior or senior currently enrolled in an accredited college/university for Fall 2018.

A Scottish Rite Mason belonging to the Valley of Pittsburgh

A child of a Scottish Rite Mason belonging to the Valley of Pittsburgh.

A member of the DeMolay, Rainbow, or Jobs Daughters sponsored by a member of the Valley of

Pittsburgh

Criteria for a Valley Scholarship Eligibility is same as above plus A child/grandchild of a Scottish Rite Mason belonging to the Valley of Pittsburgh.

A graduate of the Children’s Dyslexia Center-Valley of Pittsburgh.
