Reduced electricity bills, a guaranteedincome and greener living - 3 wonderful reasons to invest in solar panels...

Solar panels are a tremendous investment right now. This is due to the generosity of the government’s ‘Feed-In tari’ (FiT) scheme, you can make fantastic savings on your electricity bills as well.

Energy prices have risen quite considerably lately and there is every likelihood that this will continue. So, it makes perfect sense that homeowners like yourself are now looking at ways to oset these crippling price rises.

Well, look no further. Solar energy is the perfect solution.

By choosing solar panels for your home, you’re making a very wise choice. You will enjoy lower electricity bills, a tax-free additional income from the government Feed-In Tari scheme, plus adding value to your home and reducing your carbon footprint.

Don’t delay a moment longer. Beat the next deadline.

Take Control of your Energy Costs before its too late!

Every time a new Solar panel system, or a Wind Turbineis installed, that customer is receiving free energy, and being paid for generating.

This means that the cost of energy is rising to compensate.

You don't realise it, but you are paying for Solarpanels, but you are not receiving the benefits!

The only way you can ensure that you don’t have to pay thesehuge price increases, is to reduce your dependency on thenational grid.

Take control of your energy costsfor the next 25 years......

So what are the benefitsof Solar Panels..How much can I expectto earn? This depends on your installation.

However, a 5kWp well sited PV solar panel system on either a South, South westor South East roof, will generate predicted savings in electricity of £14,791 over25 years. The FiT payments over 20 years would be £19, 621. Overall, this couldprovide a combined benefit to you, of £34, 412 over the 25-year period. An East/West roof will also produce over £28,000 over the 25- year period.

Why are the Government doing this?

Well, the Government has been set targets and has made commitments toreduce carbon emissions and secure future energy supplies in the UK.

The most ecient way of doing this is to make small-scale renewable energy anattractive proposition for homeowners. This is why the Feed-In Tari (FiT)scheme was created. By presenting a generous average annual earning, it isfelt that solar electricity will become a popular option for homeowners.

Could I claim the Feed-In Tari if a non-certified installerperforms the installation?

No, the installation must use MCS approved solar PV panels and be carriedout by a MCS certified installer in order to be eligible for the Feed-In Tari. This is why all our strategically positioned Installers are fully accredited underthe MCS scheme.

All figures are calculated using the standard MCS procedure, MIS 3002 V3.1calculation, a south facing with a favourable tilt, with no shading using solarradiation from MCS Table 7 NW England. Electricity prices at 16p per Kwh.Export tari at 4.85p per unit and FIT at 13.39p

Listed above are the benefits that are received fromthe average systems in the northwest of England.

Our Energy advisors look to match the correct systemto your energy bills, meaning the system productioncan be used to pay your current electricity bills.

So if the system is paying your bill for you, what do youhave left in your pocket every month?

That’s right! You have left what you were paying to your current supplier,so you can use this to actually pay for your panels.

Therefore not increasing your current outgoings, just changing theway you purchase your energy...This is what we call mortgaging your energy.

The dierence is, you will eventually stop paying for the panels, but they will carry on paying your energy bills!!

How do Solar panels work whenwe don’t get any Sun?

The sun gives o light, even on cloudy days PV cells on the panels turn thelight into DC electricity. The current flows into an inverter, which convertsit to AC electricity ready to use.

The current is fed through a meter and then into your home’s consumer unit.

Plug in and switch on. Your system will automatically use the free electricityyou’ve generated, then switch back to the grid as needed. Any electricity youdon’t use is exported to the grid for others to use.

Solar-powering a HouseFirst of all, not every roof has the correct orientation or angle of inclination to take full advantage of the sun's energy. Non-tracking PV systems in the Northern Hemisphere should ideally point toward south, although orientations that face in more easterly and westerly direction also work well too, albeit by varying degrees of eciency.

Solar panels should also be inclined at an angle as close to the area's latitude as possible to absorb the maximum amount of energy year-round. A dierent orientation and/or inclination could be used if you want to maximize energy production for the morning or afternoon, and/or the summer or winter. Of course, the modules should never be shaded by nearby trees or buildings, no matter the time of day or the time of year. In a PV module, if even just one one of it’s cells is shaded, power production can be significantly reduced. If you have a house with an unshaded, southward-facing roof, we help you decide what size system you need. This is complicated by the facts that your electric-ity production depends on the weather, which is never completely pre-dictable, and that your electricity demand will also vary. Luckily, these hurdles are fairly easy to clear.

Meteorological data gives average monthly sunlight levels for dierent geographical areas. This takes into account rainfall and cloudy days, as well as, altitude, humidity and other more subtle factors. You should design for the worst month, so that you'll have enough electricity year-round.With that data and your average household demand (your utility bill conveniently lets you know how much energy you use every month), there are methods we use to determine just how many PV modules you'll need. You don't need to worry, we have done this 1000’s of times.

INVERTER MONITORING

By connecting the Solar Edge power optimiser to a PV panel it becomes a smart panel. This allows:

• Harvest of up to 25% more energy form each panel• Constant feedback on the performance of each panel• Automatic shutdown of each panel for maximum safety in case of emergency

Simple and morereliable inverter:

• Responsible only forDC to AC conversion as all other functions are handles separately for each panel by the power optimiser• Small, aesthetic and wall mounted

By displaying real-timeperformance data, the monitoring portal allows:

• Full visibility of your system performance• Automatic alerts on system issues• Easy access from a computer, smartphoneor tablet

So why do you need toinvest in solar now?Why you need to act NOW...

In May 2012, the government introduced a tri-monthly digressionmechanism whereby the taris would be reduced between 2.5% and 28%each quarter dependent on the capacity installed.

This means that every 13 weeks the amount you get paid for producingenergy goes down. It will never ever go higher than what it currently is...

There has never been a better time for businesses and homes to installPV solar panels in the UK.

Solar Panels oer a great returnand benefits for many years

Solar panels have so much to oer you and your family

• They’re a very smart investment, with an 8-12% return guaranteed for 20 years• You can generate your own electricity for at least 25 years• Your energy bills will reduce substantially• The cashbacks are significant and they’re TAX FREE• Your panels will work all year round - even if it’s not sunny!• Improves the energy eciency of your home• Your carbon footprint will reduce• Your solar panels will be virtually maintenance-free• No noise, as the panels operate silently• Planning permission not normally needed

A fantastic 8-12% return - that’s 3-4times the rate of the best savingsaccount in the marketplace right now...

The Feed-In Tari scheme was launched by the government in 2010. It was set up to give homeowners and business an attractive financial incentive if they generate their ownrenewable energy.

And they pay handsomely when you do.

This is great news for you.

Whilst this scheme is in place, you can enjoy significantfinancial rewards and reduce your future energy bills, by installing solar panels in your home and business.
