All woods used in the manufacture of our cladding are from sustainable forests PEFC or FSC.

SpruceOur woods are selected in cold regions, which ensured their slow growth and fine grain. All defects are removedduring manufacturing. For the pleasure of the eye our siding is livened with small sound knots, cracks and veins withvaried designs, often resembling to flames.Naturally resistant softwood, spruce was chosen for the outstanding liability of the three layers applied acrylic paint.This finishing gives this noble material its harmony, highlighting its brushed veining and increasing its natural resistance.

LarchOur selection process of larch is identical to the above, we choose high-quality wood.For this, larch exclusively comes from Switzerland or Austria.Using the same manufacturing process as the spruce siding , the larch is purged of all defects and sapwood.Naturally resistant (class 3), the external mounting can be done without any treatment and without any finishing.

The paint we use has a satin appearance, it’s based on acrylic resin and is specifically designed for exterior wood. It has excellentadhesion while maintaining flexible. It is highly resistant to abrasion and has water-repellent properties.

On the front the spruce Funlam® and Openlam® profiles get a layer of acrylic primer and two coats of acrylic paint with sandingbetween each. A layer of acrylic primer is applied to the back.

The painting is done on an industrial scale with high performance technical means. This powerful technical equipment such as anautomatic paint line and a drying tunnel guarantees a very regular application. This method applies 3 - 4 times more paint than amanual application and gives the product a much higher resistance.

We offer 10 standard shades in acrylic paint. According to quantities it is also possible to choose from a number ofmore than 1000 shades to paint your individual cladding.

The ??? we use is a water-based product. It is specifically designed for the protection of exterior wood. It provides anon-film protection for the cladding, the exterior joinery and gives walls a uniform finish. This limits humidity ex-change.

The ??? is a non film-forming product, this prevents the peeling of the protective layer. Matt and resembling wood, itis an easy-care finish.

Our 3 standard colours are applicable to our spruce and larch cladding.

Range of staining spruce

The stain allows to keep the colour WOOD.The manufacturing process used for the paint is also used for the stain. Three layers are applied. First a layer of UVbackground on the siding, followed by two coats of acrylic stain with ginning between each layer. The back receives awaterproof layer to ensure against-swing.

Two colours of stain are available for spruce and one for larch.Slight differences in color may appear between samples of woodstain and fabrication.

Cladding

InstallationCare and great attention to details determine the quality of cladding.

Our tips and recommendations:

• Ensure good ventilation

- Use battens of minimum 27 mm thickness (or more) to improve aircirculation behind the siding.

The presence of the top and bottom ventilation.The top and bottom of the walls must not be blocked and must haveinsect protection.

The constant upward air flow prevents the stagnation of heat and humidi-ty on the back of siding (summer comfort).

• The sealing

We recommend the installation of our casings on openings. Adaptable toall our sidings, they guarantee a water-and air-tightness

It is important to treat and paint the ends of each profile (when cutting onsite).We recommend the use of our incoming and outgoing angle profiles.

Avoid contact of the profile ends with another piece of wood, there mustbe cept an air gap in the joint.

• Install suitable sarking

• Use treated batten

• Maintain the distance to the ground

In order to ensure the sustainability of the work, the siding must be atleast 20 cm above the ground.Prevent the development of vegetation near the cladding.

• Fasten with stainless steel nails

The fastening must be done with stainless steel nails. The thickness of thebattens should be adapted to the length of the nails and the penetrationcomply with regulations.

ASSURANCE - GARANTIE

Les bardages Funlam® et Openlam® bénéficient d’une assurancefabricant obligatoire de 10 ans, souscrite auprès de AXA France.L’assurance fabricant couvre les préjudices résultant d’un vicecaché du produit fourni ou d’une faute du souscripteur. Elle necouvre pas le caractère esthétique du produit.Les poseurs titulaires des marchés doivent être couverts en res-ponsabilité civile décennale ainsi qu’en responsabilité civile géné-rale pour l’objet de leurs interventions.Les poseurs doivent être titulaires de la qualification QUALIBAT.Tous les paquets de bardages sont identifiés par un numéro delot. La date de production est notée sur la languette de la lame.Nota : Il est parfaitement inutile de se prévaloir de garanties illu-soires savamment rédigées sur la tenue de la peinture qui n’ontque pour effet d’abuser de la crédulité et pour but d’exclure ducontrat toutes les garanties évoquées (voir paragraphes exclu-sions et conditions d’obtention de la garantie des contrats).Le vieillissement est un phénomène tout à fait naturel et ne peutêtre garanti contractuellement. Nous apportons par des essaisde vieillissement accéléré la meilleure preuve de la bonne tenuedu film de peinture.

ESSAIS VIEILLISSEMENT (PEINTURE)

Le test de vieillissement accéléré au QUV effectué par le FCBA apermis d’évaluer les performances de notre bardage recouvertd’une peinture acrylique et atteste de sa très bonne tenue (plusde 2 000 heures d’exposition avec alternance froid, chaud, con-densation, pulvérisation, UV…).Ces essais ont été réalisés suivant la procédure ARWOOD encorrélation avec la norme européenne.Suivant les termes du rapport de synthèse du FCBA (n°PC37.271/chD/FD/01.370871) concernant l’étude sur la durabilitéau QUV d’un système de finition appliqué industriellement surbardage en épicéa conforme à la norme expérimentale XP ENV927-2 d’avril 2001 « Produits de peinture et systèmes de pein-ture pour le bois en extérieur, partie 2 spécifications de perfor-mances » :Les observations d’exsudation de résine, de jeu du bois et defentes autour des noeuds sont liées au comportement du bois.Aucune altération de la finition n’est observée sur la gamme deteintes testées, représentative de la gamme complète.Le système de finition peinture acrylique appliqué industrielle-ment sur le bardage est jugé de durabilité très performante.

TENUE / ENTRETIEN

La bonne tenue dans le temps des peintures acryliques permetun entretien des façades exposées SUD et OUEST en Francemétropolitaine tous les 5 à 10 ans et en façades non exposéesbien au-delà, entretien minime.

Les peintures apportant la tenue maximale sont les couleursclaires ayant un indice de luminance lumineuse inférieur à 35%.(L’indice de luminance lumineuse mesure le pourcentage derayonnement non absorbé - luminosité).L’exposition au soleil des couleurs sombres provoque des chocsthermiques importants et susceptibles d’engendrer des dé-sordres au niveau du support et de la peinture.L’entretien des lasures acryliques et de la finition Woodcares’effectuera suivant l’usure tous les 2 à 5 ans.L’exposition soutenue aux intempéries en bord de mer pourraéventuellement donner lieu à un entretien plus fréquent. Unsimple lavage et brossage suivi d’une couche de peinture oulasure permettront de redonner tout son éclat au bardage.

CLASSEMENT AU FEU

Les bardages Funlam® et Openlam® peuvent bénéficier d’unclassement de réaction au feu M2, rendant son utilisationpossible sur les ERP.

ENVIRONNEMENT

Tous les bois utilisés pour la fabrication de nos bardages sontissus de forêts écocertifiées bénéficiant de la certification PEFC.

MISE EN ŒUVRE

Toutes les découpes éventuelles doivent être traitées avec unproduit insecticide, fongicide et antitermites avant application dela finition.Le bardage Funlam® peut se poser horizontalement,verticalement ou incliné (languettes aux extrémités versle haut) et sur des murs en bois ou en maçonnerie. Le bardageOpenlam® peut se poser horizontalement ou verticalement,suivant les profils adaptés.La mise en oeuvre est rapide et aisée sans outillage spécifique.La pose devra être conforme au DTU, entraxe maximum 65cm, épaisseur des liteaux 27 ou 40 mm (suivant la longueur despointes).Le Funlam® 190 peut s’emboîter avec le Funlam® 120 moyen-nant un calage de 4 mm sur la largeur totale au dos de la lamede 120 mm. Les parements extérieurs des lames sont dans lemême plan.Le Funlam® et l’Openlam® sont des produits finis. Pour leurdonner tout leur éclat, nous vous conseillons, après la pose, unnettoyage des éventuelles salissures.

CONDITIONS DE STOCKAGE

Les paquets de bardages doivent être stockés dans un local àl’abri des intempéries et décollés du sol.
