British Council
The British Council plays an instrumental role in promoting British short films by talented new filmmakers to film festivals and partners around the world. We have a long established relationship with more than 48 international film festivals and we are often the first port of call for short film programmers seeking interesting work from the UK.
We select outstanding short films (from the hundreds submitted to us each year) to promote through this scheme. There are no deadlines, all genres are eligible and generally anything under 45 minutes is classed as a short.
