ConclusionAlumni of the Fulbright program often achieve great

distinctions in their careers. The program counts 53 Nobel laureates among its alumni, as well as 80 Pulitzer Prize recipients and 29 heads of state or government. These include Juan Manuel Santos, the president of Colombia, who participated in the Fulbright Foreign Student Program in 1980, and Iveta Radicova, former prime minister of the Slovak Republic, who took part in the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program from 1998 to 1999. Other notable alumni include Chilean President Sebastian Pinera, Ghanian President John Evans Atta Mills, and Colville Young, governor-general of Belize.
