Joblinks Mission/Purpose
To increase capacity of communities to meet the employment- and related transportation needs of:
• Unemployed individuals• Low-wage earners• Other transportation
disadvantaged populations (e.g., children of low-wage earners)
Target AudiencePotential/current JARC grantees/subgrantees
State/local WIBs, One Stop Centers, others that provide employment, training and social services to youth and adults
Businesses and business partnerships (e.g., Chambers of Commerce)
Goals and Activities Goal 1: More rides for target populations
for the same or fewer assets Increase the family of services that
communities use to meet employment needs Increase the coordination of services Increase consumer knowledge and use of
employment transportation services Increase workforce development and human
services staff knowledge of and customer referral to transportation services

Goal 2: Simplify access Promote and train communities on
mobility management solutions, such as one-call centers and Google Transit

Increase the range of partners, including representative of low-income individuals, that plan for, fund and implement employment transportation services

Emergency Taxi Fares Establish car or van pools Provide help in changing work

One Stops/WIBs Expanding Service/Improving Infrastructure
Working in partnerships with transportation providers and others
To establish new bus and van services To improve existing services with new
routes, extended service hours, route accommodate safer travels at night
