I’m rounding third base, heading towards home plate of my college career. I’ve had the best of times here; I’ve had the worst of times. As I sit here and look at myself, I think I owe it all to this little university hidden away in a town I had previously never heard of. I am indebted to this school (both metaphorically and financially) for the memo-ries I will keep in my heart for years to come. I made some life-long friendships here. So if I can give you new Drovers any special advice it would be make the most out of your college experience. With that, I don’t mean waste it. Do as many internships as you can. Take classes you never thought you’d ever like. Sit next to the kid in the cafeteria that balances books on their head, just because hey…we’re all a little weird. Don’t be too proud to ask for help. Don’t get lost in the freedom that comes with moving away from your parent’s house. Treasure the lessons you’re learning and most of all be yourself and make decisions that make you happy. This is your life kid.
