From the herbal garden of Switzerland

The Simmental valley in the beau-tiful Bernese Oberland is where we have our home. We specialise in the gentle drying and processing of fresh, aromatic Alpine herbs from controlled organic farming, in order to make wonderful herbal products.

The Alpine region benefits from a mineral-rich soil. In the mountains, the sunshine is more intense and concentrated on the soil than in the valleys, because the sun’s rays strike the slopes at a right angle. The herbs grow more slowly than those in the lowlands, enabling and promoting the development of more intense aromas.The colour and taste of these plants reflect the unique environment of this wonderful mountain world.

This particular alpine environment was chosen because the soil in this area has never been suitable for intensive cereal farming. The area is therefore an obvious choice for organic cultivation.

Thanks to the active participation of the mountain farmers aromatic herbs are now grown at altitudes of up to 1400 meters (4200 feet).

The herbal infusions contain only extra-large leaves holding lots of flavour. The dried herbs are ready for instant use that is to say when they come into contact with water again, they unfold their full aroma.The special pyramid bag gives the herbs and flowers plenty of space to release their full aroma.
