During the week, the church building is open from 8:30 am to 12 noon; then 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Please keep safe distance and use sanizer provided if you come to pray. Doors cannot be kept open when there is no staff present due to security reasons. We can always pray with our family in our own homes. The Bishop has halted all Masses and gatherings through March 30 th . We will communicate with you in a variety of ways as news is available, including parish Flocknotes and on the parish website. We can choose fear and panic over calm; doubt and despair over trust in the Lord; close in among ourselves over reaching out to help and build HOPE in others. "Love One Another as I have loved you." (John 13:34) "For God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." (2 Timoteo 1: 7) Fourth Sunday in Lent This Sunday has the tradional name of Laetare Sunday, a day of joy because Lent has reached the half-way point. This is also the day for the rite of second scruny for catechumens preparing for Bapsm on Easter. Last Sunday we focused on the theme of thirst and water, direcng us to the life-giving water of the sacrament of Bapsm. Today we reflect on the theme of light as the Gospel focuses on the cure of the man born blind. Paul in his second leer to the Ephesians stresses the importance of living in the light rather than in darkness. The story of Samuel’s search for God’s chosen king shows “not as man sees does God see, because man sees the appearance, but the Lord looks into the heart”. Let us ask the Lord that He may heal us of our blindness so to see others and at the world just as He sees. As bapzed Chrisans, let us shine forth the light of Christ to illuminate our world. ~ Rev. Danilo Ramos

Greetings all! Prayers, prayers, prayers indeed that help us put our trust in God. We pray for the sick, their families and those who attend to them. During the week, the church building is open from 8:30 am to 12 noon; then 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Please keep safe distance and use sanitizer provided if you come to pray. Instructions to sign up for Flocknotes are included in this bulletin.

A critical moment like the one we live in now due to the Covid-19 virus brings out either the best in us or the worst in us. We can choose fear and panic over calm; doubt and despair over trust in the Lord; close in among ourselves over reaching out to help and build HOPE in others.

"Love One Another as I have loved you." (John 13:34)

"For God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7)

COVID-19 is causing some trying times for us all, but the hardest hit will be our Rowlett neighbors who already struggle and live paycheck to paycheck. Layoffs will hit families hard.

SVDP anticipates a huge spike in assistance re-quests in the near future. The teams have sus-pended home visits for now, but will assist via phone calls. Because there are no Masses being held, SVDP will not receive the normal 5th Sunday collection on March 30th. If you are able, please send your 5th Sunday envelope or other contribu-tion to the Parish Office so that funds will be avail-able to assist those who will be in great need.

Please continue to pray for the most vulnerable in our communities.

Your donations make this ministry possible.

Please contribute in the church-shaped SVDP box in the foyer or mail a donation to:
