I hope everyone has a restful couple of weeks and will be back ready to meet the challenges and excitement of Term 3. Yrs 4-6 Girls—Ngaya Program Esther, Caitlin, Lily and Shyann are enjoying the Ngaya program with the students from Woolomin. There are 2 more sessions next term. Wyniss—Musica Viva at The Conservatorium We enjoyed our excursion to The Conservatorium and the Art Gallery last week. Our students loved listening to the stories and joining in the games taught by the Wyniss group. After lunch and a walk through the Botanical Gardens we visited the Art Gallery and saw a fantastic exhibition featuring works from 1919. We were taken through the different painting styles by our guide and went on a treasure hunt to create our own impression of different artistic styles. Small Schools Nitro Athletics Day at Nundle Our school will be travelling to Nundle on Friday, 5th July to participate in a variety of games and athletics, which has been organised by Adam Joliffe from Tamworth Little Athletics. We will start about 9.45am at Nundle and finish at approximately 1.30pm. Please note the team and colour your child is in over the page. Responsible Pet Program Once again our students will participate in the Responsible Pet Program which focuses on safe behaviour around dogs. Term 3 Students return on Tuesday, 23rd July. DPS Athletics Carnival will be on Friday, 26th July, Week 1. Peel Valley Athletics Carnival will be held on Friday, 2nd August at Dungowan Oval, Week 2. Headstart Our Headstart Program will commence on Friday, 9th August. If you know of any children in our area who will be starting Kindergarten in 2020, please contact the school. Gymnastics Program We have booked 3 sessions at the McGinnity Gymnastics Centre beginning Friday, 9th August using our Premiers Sporting Schools funding. Im sure everyone will enjoy the program and learn some new skills. End of Term We have had a very busy Term 2 with lots of learning and other activities taking place.
