Dungowan Public School Athletics Carnival Congratulations to all our students and a huge thank you to our helpers and volunteers who made the day a wonderful success. Casuarina was the winning house. Peel Valley Athletics Carnival Peel Valley Athletics Carnival for students 8yrs and up will be held on Friday, 2nd August at Dungowan Oval. This is usually a very busy day where we will need lots of helpers. We are running a BBQ and will be selling poppers and water. Please contact the school if you are available to help.
Headstart Our Headstart Program will commence on Friday, 9th August. If you know of any children in our area who will be starting Kindergarten in 2020, please contact the school.
Gymnastics Program We have booked 3 sessions at the McGinnity Gymnastics Centre beginning Friday, 9th August using our Premier’s Sporting Schools funding. I’m sure everyone will enjoy the program and learn some new skills. Please note that Music lessons with Mr Hocquard will change to 9.30 to accommodate the gymnastics program. Education Week Awards As part of the Education Week activities, our school has nominated 3 recipients to receive acknowledgment for their achievement and contributions to our school. Ryan Fitzgerald for Outstanding Student Achievement - academic, sport and music, Mrs Kathrine Cooper for Outstanding Contribution to our School by a member of the community and Mrs Gee for Outstanding Contribution to the School by a staff member. Congratulations to our recipients. The Twits Our students will be travelling to the TRECC on Thursday, 15 August for a live performance of the Roald Dahl book The Twits. A note will go out next week.
