WELCOME TO UWE AND YOUR STUDENTS’ UNION!Congratulations – you’re a UWE Fresher 2015!

Starting university is an exciting time, full of new experiences and

opportunities. Your Students’ Union exists to help every student

get the very best out of their time at UWE Bristol; the best social

activities, the best support and the best development opportunities!

You are now part of a student community that as a union, we are

proud to represent. Our job as elected officers is to be there for

you, no matter what you study or which campus you study at. Your

Students’ Union represents you! We offer a huge range of Societies,

Sports clubs and Networks, all to give you the chance to develop

your skills, have fun and meet new people. So join in, speak up

and be more!

student experience, so my job as your Vice-President for Societies

and Communication is to ensure that opportunities to get involved

are readily available and accessible to students. I will support and

provide guidance to societies and drive improvements to benefit you.

opportunity to meet new people, boost your CV and enhance your

I’m Adam, your Vice-President Sports and Health. Our sporting

community here at UWE Bristol is fantastic, and now is the time to

get involved and become part of #TeamUWE!

Joining a Sports Club was the highlight of my university experience,

and with over 40 different sports clubs to join, we have something

for everyone! Whether you want to compete nationally in the BUCS

(British Universities and Colleges Sport) Championships or simply

I’m Scarlett the Vice-President Community and Welfare. This year

I’ll be working towards making your experience at university the best

it can be. I represent and raise awareness around issues such as

housing, finance and transport through to integrating and building

student communities.

Look out for my first campaign “Late Night Do It Right”. My team

and I will be staying up late to charge phones, provide you with

flip-flops and make you tea and toast! Make sure to join in with

Networks, The Green Team, and get involved with volunteering and

fundraising activities; it’s all free!

whilst studying at UWE.
