It will lead to an
Imaginary line that is
a CAUSE of the
American Revolution

Think about the Native American way of life before the colonists arrived.
1. Who lived most like the Native Americans, the British or the French?
2. Who do you think the Native Americans trusted more? Why?

In 1757, William Pitt is named British Prime Minister,
and makes winning the war his top priority, sending
Britain’s best generals to North America.
William Pitt… not to be confused
with Brad Pitt.
Ben Franklin (Penn. Delegate) proposes
Albany Plan of Union to create “one general
government for 13 colonies to make laws,
raise taxes and set up defense for the
colonies.”
Ben Franklin publishes the first political cartoon to promote
the Albany Plan of Union.
Delegates vote to accept the plan, but it was not approved by
any of the colonies.
War officially ends in 1763 with the
Treaty of Paris, signed by England and
France.
Treaty of Paris 1763- ended French
and Indian war, marked the end of
French power in North America. French has no power in North America, Brit.
gained Canada (eh?) and all Fr. lands east of the
Mississippi, except New Orleans.
Spain gave up Florida to Brit., but received all Fr.
lands west of the Mississippi River, along with New
Orleans.
