Hello, The packet that you are holding is the curriculum

that establishes a strong foundation for all

percussion students. The purpose of The Packet is to

set every student on the path to becoming a complete

percussionist. This packet will work the fundamentals

of 5 essential areas of the percussion foundation:

1. Rhythm 2. Chops 3. Rudiments 4. Mallets: 2 and 4 mallet technique 5. Drumset.

It is my hope that through The Packet, along with

a strong supplementation of solo and ensemble

literature, instructional method books, advanced level

etudes, participation in a wide variety of performing

ensembles, weekly private lessons and a consistent

individual practice regimen, that you will be set to have

an enjoyable and lifelong musical journey. How far

this journey goes is entirely up to YOU…
