FOUR TO ONE LIGHTING DESIGN is an offspring of theFOUR TO ONE STUDIO which was founded in 1988 in London.In the early 1990s the lighting designer & one of thefounding members as well, Patrick Woodroffe , startedactively generating spectacular light shows fornumerous top acts in the global music scene.

In 1995, FOUR TO ONE studio became relocated fromLondon to Cologne, Germany. 

Fast forward, 20 years later, and under the same management, as when it relocated, FOUR TO ONE LIGHTING DESIGN continues to generate state‐of‐the‐art lighting design for both extraordinary shows and forarchitectural projects globally as well.

FOUR TO ONE`s planning team consists both ofprofessional and highly experienced show lightingdesigners as well as of design‐oriented architecturallighting designers.This unique combination of talents consistentlygenerates cutting edge concepts.

The objective of all of our designs and work in general isto achieve perfect harmony between lighting andarchitectural ambiance. The lighting is not meant to be regarded as an independent element per se, rather it is to be conceivedas a unified whole.This is the main reason as to why the general part of theplanning process is focused on composing optimal integrative solutions.

Meticulous attention goes to even the smallest ofdetails, from start to finish , of all our undertakings.

Good lighting design starts with generating creativeideas, on which the processes of designing as well as oftechnical planning are based.FOUR TO ONE`s professional lighting design encompasses all phases of service, from developingdesign ideas to the execution of intense projectsupervision.

Computer‐generated planning enables a variety of data usage by customers, involved planners and executing companies.

With a 3D model the project can be virtually represented from draft to detail. Plan and quantities can be easily updated and lead to moretransparency in the planning. Combining the individual 3D models of all involved planners into an overall model results in a high degree ofplanning security at an early time.  3D Planning

what you see iswhat you get Visualization is digital communication. A powerful program for visualization and development of three‐dimensional stage designs is used. Conventional headlamps and moving lights can be displayed and visualized in 3D in real time. Light simulation

So far, the observance of physical parameters and standard specificationsstanding in the foreground of conventional lighting planning. The light simulationwith the computer also considered account creative and emotional aspects.

Not only technical characteristics can be determined, but also essential questions can be answered, with light simulation apps.
