All students have been provided with a green jumper to ensure everyone has the correct coloured jumper. School hats are sll required to be worn over the winter months. Aendance Regular aendance at school is very important. The recommended aendance rate from the Department of Educaon is above 95%. If your childs aendance rate falls below 85% we are required to provide this informaon to the Home School Liaison Officer. You will be nofied by leer if your childs aendance is reaching a rate that requires improving. We understand that this me of year brings about more illnesses and your child will need to stay home if they are sick. If your child needs to be away for more than 3 days it is recommended that you get a doctors cerficate. All absences must be jusfied by parents by phone, text, email or note. This will prevent unjusfied aendances being recorded. GRIP Leadership Year 6 students aended the GRIP Leadership Conference in Forster on Thursday 13th May. They all had a great day parcipang in interacve acvies, discussions, leadership games, and entertainment. Small Schools Athlecs Carnival Well done to all our students who parcipated in the school athlecs carnival last week. We had a fantasc day and it was lovely to share it with Upper Lansdowne Public School. Students who qualified for the Small Schools Athlecs Carnival will be heading to Taree Rec Grounds next Friday 4th June. Notes and money need to be returned to school by next Tuesday 1st June so transport can be arranged for those who need it. Please note, the school canteen will be closed on this day! Healthy Harold Healthy Harold will be vising the students on Friday 11th June. All students from Kindergarten to Year 6 will be vising Healthy Harold in his Van. This is a curriculum based program empowering children to make safe and healthy lifestyle choices. The school has covered the full cost of this program . Small Schools Mixed Soccer Gala Day A number of students will represent our school at the PSSA Zone Soccer Gala Day on Friday 18th June at Wingham Sporng Complex. Notes will go home with these students next week. Please return the notes and $5 by Tuesday 15th June to arrange transport for those who need it. Please note the school canteen will be closed on this day!

Uniform As the weather cools down please ensure students are wearing the correct school jumpers. All students have been provided with a green jumper to ensure everyone has the correct coloured jumper.

Attendance Regular attendance at school is very important. The recommended attendance rate from the Department of Education is above 95%. If your child’s attendance rate falls below 85% we are required to provide this information to the Home School Liaison Officer. You will be notified by letter if your child’s attendance is reaching a rate that requires improving.

We understand that this time of year brings about more illnesses and your child will need to stay home if they are sick. If your child needs to be away for more than 3 days it is recommended that you get a doctors certificate.

All absences must be justified by parents by phone, text, email or note. This will prevent unjustified attendances being recorded.

GRIP Leadership Year 6 students attended the GRIP Leadership Conference in Forster on Thursday 13th May.

They all had a great day participating in interactive activities, discussions, leadership games, and entertainment.

Dear Parents, Carers and Families

FAST Surveys Surveys for the FAST Program were sent home in week 4 to the families who participated.

We ask that you please complete these surveys and return them to the school by this Friday so we can forward them on to Communities or Children. These surveys are very important and help secure the funding needed for the program to continue.

Small Schools Athletics Carnival Well done to all our students who participated in the school athletics carnival last week. We had a fantastic day and it was lovely to share it with Upper Lansdowne Public School.

IMPORTANT CANTEEN NEWS Canteen will be closed Friday 4th June due to the Small Schools Athletics

Carnival, however it will be open on Thursday 3rd June instead. The $5 Lunch Deal for this day is a Hamburger.

The canteen will also be open on Tuesday 15th June with all weekly menu items available however, there will be NO $5 lunch special on this day.

Due to the Small Schools Soccer Gala Day on Friday 18th June, the Canteen will again be closed, however it will be open Thursday 17th June instead for our NAIDOC Day celebrations and the special for the day will be Rissoles & Mash Potato for $5. Year 6 will also have a cup cake stall on this day for their fundraising. All cupcakes will be $1.00 each.
