OAO Tyazhpressmash is located in Ryazan-city in the center of Russia. It was founded on the basis of a state heavy-duty forging- and press equipment producer company which started to build machinery in 1955. ОАО Tyazhpressmash now is a Russian leader in production of a large variety of forging machines and presses. Since 1995 our production program includes a wide range of tools for oil/gas wells completion, workover and servicing.

Our production structure consists of all in-house facilities including primary metal production sector, boiler welding sector and surface machining/assembly sector.

Our primary metal production sector includes steel foundry, iron foundry, forging shop, non-ferrous casting shop, charging material preparation- and supply shop. Our production range includes steel, cast iron and non-ferrous castings, forged parts produced from initial ingots and rolled bars with further heat-treatment and surface finishing, if necessary. We can supply practically any kind of primary metal products for various application customized to individual requirements.

Employed in our foundries are a 6 ton- and a 20 ton furnaces used to produce cast components like machine frames and bodies, drums, wheels, blocks, plates in weights from 25 kg to 20 ton. Our welding sector is equipped with state-of-art machinery which can be efficiently used in production preparation. They are: laser cutting machine capable to cut metal sheets up to 20 mm thick; water-jet cutting machine capable to cut metal up to 120 mm thick, CNC gas-cutting machine capable to cut metal up to 240 mm thick. There are other machines and tools employed for straightening operations, bending, forming, automatic submerged arc welding, semi-automatic carbon dioxide welding, manual welding for various steel grades and alloys, etc.

Cupola furnaces used for iron melting are capable to produce cast pieces up to 3m х 2m х 1.5m in size and up to 2.5 ton in weights. Heavy-duty hydraulic presses and hammers are used to forge initial ingots and rolled billets into round- and flat forged parts, solid and hollow discs, blocks, rods, pistons and bars in diameters up to 600 mm and lengths up to 6 m, plates up to 1.3 wide. We produce forged parts in a large variety of steel grades and in weights from 0,7 ton to 16 ton.

Our production facilities include 832 metalworking machines, 190

forging machines and presses, 148 welding machines, 104 foundry machines, 28 electrical heat treatment installations, 232 auxiliary processing equipment units. Among these machines are heavy-duty horizontal boring machines Skoda, multi-purpose machines like planar mill Liné, rotary borer grinder mill Berthiez, specialized machines used for heavy crankshafts machining, so-called “machining centers”, high-accuracy tooth cutting- and gear grinding machines capable to produce coarse pith gears, helical bevel gears of 7th accuracy grade (e.g. Hőffler machines), and other machinery.

The company production stuff number is above 3500 employees. High-level scientific and technical expertise of OAO

Tyazhpressmash combined with powerful and versatile production facilities based on the state-of-art specialized equipment makes it possible for us to manage all in-house production cycle starting from technical solution development and up to finished products.

Good contributions to our technological capacities are advanced simulation tools used for production techniques development and optimization, and our own tool production facilities. It allows us to ensure high quality even for the most critical components.

Our design team consisting of 140 engineers is armed with up-to-date programming tools like Solid Works, Cosmos, QForm, Deform 3D, etc., efficiently used in CAD projects.

Machines produced at TYAZHPRESSMASH (former TKPO) are successfully used today in 40 countries over the globe.

SINGLE ACTION HYDRAULIC PRESS WITH BOTTOM-TYPE

PULL-DOWN UNIT Four-column vertical-type press with a sliding table and a pull-

down unit is designed to produce pipe connecting pieces for large-diameter pipelines (in diameters from 530 to 1420 mm).

Sliding table serves to facilitate die tooling replacement. Bottom-type pull-down unit is arranged under the bottom cross-

beam and comprises a puller rod used to impart drawing load to tubular workpiece.

FOUR-DIE FORGING DEVICES

Four-die forging devices are designed to implement four-side radial forging process on hydraulic forging presses in capacities up to 125 MN.

Four-die forging devices are connected to hydraulic forging presses just like conventional forging tools.

Four-die devices are used to process initial ingots and billets of practically any ductile steel grades, alloys and non-ferrous metals.

Four-die devices are developed and built customized to make them completely compatible with any existing Customer’s press in terms of design, specifications, operation conditions with regards to material and shape of initial ingots (billets) and range of target parts to be produced.

AUTOMATIC HOT FORMING SYSTEM DESIGNED TO PRODUCE

SLEEVE-TYPE PARTS

Automatic Hot Forming System is based on a 3-station hydraulic press with forming force independently adjustable at each forming station. It is designed for hot forming of sleeve-type forged parts like cylinder sleeves, couplings, bushings and similar products from initial round steel billets. Incorporated into the Automatic Hot Forming system are the following main units and devices.

Incorporated into the Automatic Hot Forming System are the following devices: a conveyor with a pusher mechanism designed to push initial billets into the induction coil, an Induction Heater with mechanisms designed for feed material to the induction coil, rotate it and discharge heated material, a robot designed to charge initial material into the press and to transfer workpieces from one forming station to another; it also serves to lubricate the tools and to charge dry lubricant into workpieces.

Automatic Hot Forming System is controlled by means of a programmable control system which provides for a wide-range changing of production process variables. It is also designed to perform status diagnostics of the main systems, units and mechanisms of this Automatic Hot Forming System. All information on status and the Automatic System operations is displayed as warning lights on the control panel and as messages on the operator panel.

AUTOMATIC HOT FORMING SYSTEM

Automatic Hot Forming System is based on a 3-station hydraulic press with forming force independently adjustable at each forming station. Incorporated into the Automatic Hot Forming System are the following main units and devices: a mechanism designed for billet charging into the Induction Heater; an Induction Heater; a mechanism designed for separation of underheated and overheated billets; a mechanism designed for billet loading into the press; a mechanism designed to transfer workpieces from one forming station to another; a mechanism designed to unload the forged parts.

Automatic Hot Forming System is controlled by means of a programmable control system which provides for a wide-range changing of production process variables. It is also designed to perform status diagnostics of the main systems, units and mechanisms of this Automatic Hot Forming System.

Production process includes all the operations starting from billet loading onto the Induction Heater charging mechanism by means of a shop crane and through all the respective forming operations performed in automatic mode up to forged parts unloading.

AUTOMATIC HOT FORMING SYSTEM

Automatic Hot Forming System is designed for production of

bearing races and parts like nuts, bushings, pinions, flanges, mono-regulators and fixtures from carbon and alloy steel bars by means of hot die forming.

Incorporated into the Automatic Hot Forming System are the following: 2500 kN 3-station Hot Former, a conveyor designed to discharge workpieces and wastes, an Induction Heater and an Automatic Rack.

Used as initial material for production of high-durability nuts is sized bar stock steel with surface quality of Group B acc. to GOSТ 1051-73, steel grades 35 and 35Х.

The sequence of operations performed on this Automatic Hot Forming System is as follows: a bundle of bars is loaded onto the automatic rack, bars are charged into the induction heater one by one, then they are heated up to 1050…1150ºC and formed. The forming procedure includes the following operations: bars cutting to slugs of required length, upsetting, forming to hexagon, piercing and products/wastes transfer.

AUTOMATIC PRODUCTION LINE FOR ELASTIC RAIL CLIPS

Automatic Production Line is designed for mass production of elastic rail clips used for rail braces of ЖБР-type and АРС-4-type. Elastic rail clips are manufactured by means of hot bending method.

Incorporated into the Automatic Production Line are the following: an Automatic Rack, a Press used to cut slugs of required length, an Induction Heater, an Automatic Hot Bending Machine.

Slugs are bent in the horizontal plane in 3 production steps between six rollers of bending mechanisms. Then the В-shaped workpieces are transferred to the finishing station where they are finally shaped. From the finishing station the products are carried to the conveyor which is designed to transfer the products either into a respective container or into a hardening/tempering device.

An Automatic Bending Machine Model КП-5.2 designed for rail clips production can be also incorporated into the Automatic Production Line.

4-STATION COLD FORMER DESIGNED FOR PRODUCTION OF BOLTS,

BALL PINS AND SIMILAR PARTS

Cold Former is designed to produce bolts М24х50...220 and similar parts comprising a head and a threaded underhead portion, ball pins, etc., from sized steel stock as per GOST10702-78 with ultimate strength σВ ≤ 690 МPа, phosphate or copper coated.

Cold Former is equipped with a thread rolling device and a chamfering device.

Cold Former can be used in metal working industry, machine building industry in mass- and large batch production.

Slide spm value is infinitely adjustable to suit the product shape and length. The cut-off mechanism (closed-type with a cutter bush), transfer mechanism and kick-out mechanism are provided with adequate overload safety devices.

Electric circuit ensures Cold Former operation in Set-up and Automatic modes and also provides for manual cranking.

6-STATION COLD FORMER

Cold Former is designed to produce parts from sized round initial stock with phosphate coating by means of cold forming. Cut-to-size slugs are used as initial stock.

Cold Former is designed to produce parts by means of cold die forming method in mass- and large batch production.

Slide spm value is infinitely adjustable to suit product requirements. Slide spm value can be adjusted by means of main drive rpm control from the control panel.

Cold Former is equipped with hydraulic quick-release clamps to reduce time required for tool change and job changeover.

Employed in the Cold Former are the circulating oil lubrication system, individual lubrication points system and centralized tool cooling system.

Press is designed to perform the following operations: sheet metal forming, punching, blanking, cropping and shallow drawing to produce a variety of box-shaped parts from initial sheet metal stock.

Press control system is based on a programmable controller. Press can be operated in either of three operation modes: set-up, single stroke and semi-automatic.

Pressing force is adjustable at any operation mode from 400 to 40000 kN.

Press control can be either from the main control panel or from control pendants. Located on the main panel are digital pressure indicator and a mnemonic diagram indicating the press mechanisms positions and so providing complete information on the press and its unit operation status.
