Reporting to the Manager Mechanical Maintenance, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

coordinating, supervising and participating in maintaining CUC’s MAN/Caterpillar model diesel generating engines, which includes planning; scheduling; checking work to ensure compliance with established policies, practices, regulations and standards; and preparing employee time entries, purchase orders and work orders;

supervising and maintaining all MAN/Caterpillar diesel generating engines and related equipment including, but not limited to, water pumps/systems, oil pumps/systems, fuel pumps/systems, coolers, gauges, exhaust systems and air intake filters/systems;

identifying, verifying and solving problems that may arise;

preparing reports and developing and implementing maintenance and training programmes and schedules;

assisting with development and implementation of general/specific reporting requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance team;

requisitioning of material and ensuring they are on the work site when required.

Applicants must possess OEM factory training in four-stroke medium-speed diesel generator maintenance with a minimum of three years relevant experience working with Caterpillar 3500 and 3600 series generating units, including supervisory experience, with a two-year Technician Diploma (Associate’s of Applied Science) in Mechanical, Facilities or Industrial Maintenance Technology preferred.

Salary is from CI$4,740 to CI$6,163 per month.
