Equiterre is an Environmental-Terrorist and Anti-Pesticide Organization that

Quebec, in the Centre for Sustainable Devel-

opment, which officially opened its doors on

October 6th, 2011, and is home to E IGHT

Environmental and Social Terrorist Organiza-

tions, including EQUITERRE , and coinci-

dentally, DAVID SUZUKI FOUNDATION .

The centre is COLLECTIVELY OWNED by the

The Pesticides Management Code has been in force since April 3rd, 2003,

sets strict standards to control the use and sale of pesticides, under the

PRETEXT of attempting « to protect human health ».

This Code was the result of a BOGUS CONSULTATION carried out in 1998

by the Ministry of the Environment, following the recommendations of the

Groupe De Réflexion Sur Les Pesticides En Milieu Urbain, an Anti-Pesticide

Organization.

Since April 2006, it is PROHIBITED to use certain products on the lawns of

public, semi-public and municipal properties and, on the lawns of private and

commercial properties, except for golf courses.

since 2006, several pest control products

are ALLOWED in the Province of Quebec for

On April 23th, 2012, David Suzuki Foundation became THE TARGET OF A COMPLAINT TO

THE CANADA REVENUE AGENCY ( CRA ), just days after its namesake co-founder stepped

down amid heightened tensions between environmental charities and the Government of

Canada.

EthicalOil.org, a non-profit organization that promotes oil from Canada and other democra-

cies, sent a COMPLAINT to Canada Revenue Agency asking it to INVESTIGATE whether Da-

vid Suzuki Foundation is BREAKING RULES THAT PERTAIN TO POLITICAL ACTIVITY.

The COMPLAINT comes on the heels of the Government of Canada’s WARNING that it will

keep a much closer eye on the BLURRY LINE BETWEEN CHARITY AND POLITICS, arming the

tax department with 8-MILLION-DOLLARS to enforce the rules.

Registered charities are allowed to devote only a SMALL FRACTION of their resources to PO-

LITICAL ACTIVITY, although they can NEVER BE PARTISAN.

EthicalOil.org said in its 44-page COMPLAINT, which was drafted by Calgary-based JSS Bar-

risters ―

« If you find the Suzuki Foundation is in contravention of the CRA rules, then we request

that you consider whether the Suzuki Foundation should have its CHARITABLE STATUS RE-

VOKED or otherwise be SANCTIONED. »

The COMPLAINT relates to David Suzuki Foundation’s activities over the past year, and the

bulk of the COMPLAINT outlines allowable political activity such as letter-writing campaigns

to federal politicians or blog posts urging the Government of Canada to change its environ-

mental policies.

Jamie Ellerton, Executive Director of EthicalOil.org, said those activities point to the group’s

« politicization » and that Canada Revenue Agency should « determine whether or not they

are crossing the 10 per cent political threshold and VIOLATING CHARITIES LAW ».



The COMPLAINT also says David Suzuki Foundation received funding from the British gov-

ernment and that the purpose of the funding may have been to « forward the policies of the

United Kingdom Government on climate change in Canada ».

Ellerton said the COMPLAINT was faxed to David Suzuki Foundation, but the organization

did not confirm receipt or provide comment.

Ellerton said that organizations should FORGO CHARITABLE STATUS — and all the eco-

nomic benefits it brings — if they want THE FREEDOM TO BE POLITICAL ―

« What we’re looking to accomplish [ in issuing a complaint to the revenue agency ] is to

ENSURE TAX-PAYERS AREN’T SUBSIDIZING THE POLITICAL ACTIVITY of the David Suzuki

Foundation. »

Other portions of the COMPLAINT accuse David Suzuki Foundation of ENGAGING IN PRO-

HIBITED PARTISAN ACTIVITY and point to the following as two examples ―

• A blog post titled « Ontario Liberal platform maintains green energy focus »,

which was published two days after the 2011 provincial election was called last fall;

and

• A July 2011 Toronto Star article that reported Mr. Suzuki had endorsed Premier

Dalton McGuinty and was « urging Ontarians to re-elect » the Liberal leader.

EthicalOil.org also mounted a FORMAL COMPLAINT against Environmental Defence in March

2012.

Other environmental groups have reacted in order to protect themselves.

ForestEthics Canada last week announced it would SPLIT INTO TWO so one segment can

devote all its time to opposing projects such as the Northern Gateway oil pipeline.



ForestEthics Canada was never a registered charity itself, but its donors received tax re-

ceipts through its former UMBRELLA GROUP, TIDES CANADA.

It is known in at least one instance that the Vancouver address for Tides USA, as reported

to the U.S. Internal Revenue Service by the Hewlett Foundation, is EXACTLY THE SAME AS

THE ADDRESS of David Suzuki Foundation ― 2211 WEST FOURTH AVENUE, SUITE 219.

Greenpeace New Zealand CANNOT REGISTER AS A CHARITY.

Greenpeace, an Environmental–Terrorist–Organization, appealed against a 2010 ruling by

the Charities Commission, which found its promotion of « disarmament and peace » was

POLITICAL rather than educational, and while it did not directly advocate illegal acts,
