BAPTISMSElaine Jessica Rose Chappie,

daughter of Brendon Chappie and Kaitlyn Smith.

FROM THE PASTOR’S DESKThe people of St. Dominic continue to amaze and inspire me! We had fifty-eight creative baskets donated by parishioners. We were hoping for 50. People responded by buying chances after the weekend Masses and online. Online you could look at the contents of each basket. This major project was organized and coordinated by Maria Moster, Amy Walter and Lindsey Wittich. They and their families did the selling of chances and bringing the baskets out and putting them away on three successive weekends. A wonderful gift to the parish of time and effort! The parish was able to raise over $9,200.00! Amazing! We also had a successful Major Award drawing. A St. Dominic parishioner won the $10,000.00 ...and the parish cleared $30,000.00! A big thank-you to all who helped with the baskets and the major award! I am sure the parish is responding this weekend to our “Service Day” by bringing in items for the homeless shelters. I am sure the parish will respond to Tucker Charles’ coat drive in November for St. Vincent de Paul!Thank you to the St. Dominic Class of 1981 for their generous donation to the Education Fund.Fr. Jim

A draft of this plan is available for public comment until October 20 at www.BeaconsAOC.org. Do not miss this opportunity to provide your input to this important initiative which will shape the future of our parish and archdiocese.
