Handbell rehearsals will resume on Thursday, Aug. 4th at 5:45 in the choir room. New ringers

All volunteers who work with any child under 18 must attend a child safety class and complete a background check by September 1.

This includes but is not limited to:

The first class will be on July 10th during Sunday School in the CFLC.

Other opportunities to take the class:Sunday, July 31st at 6:00pm in the Roots Classroom 323

Wednesday, August 17th at 6:00pm in the CFLC

August 1st Mission Monday - Trip to OM Ships

We will meet on the front lawn church at 8:30am and take the bus. We will return by 12:20pm.

We are looking for ESL teachers for this upcoming year! If you

can speak English, you can teach English. Please consider joining

this awesome team and working to bring our international brothers and

sisters to Christ. Please contact Sue Johnson or Landon Reynolds for

more information.

Our next FREE Shopping Day is Saturday, August 6 from 10am –

1pm. Because of some scheduling conflicts, we are going to set up earlier in the week. Volunteers

are needed Monday, August 1 from 2-6pm and Tuesday, August 2 from 6pm until we are finished setting up. Saturday, August 6 volunteers are needed from 8:30am – 1pm. If

you need childcare, please let Amy Hatchell know. You can sign up on the sheet on the Closet bulletin board or call the church office.

Our next FREE Shopping Day isSaturday, March 5th from 10 am – 1:30 pm.

If you have clothes you would like to donate for this shopping day, bring them to Calvary by February 14th! Any clothes donated after this date will not be included in this shopping day. The faithful volunteers that sort each week need time to get things ready for the sale without a lot of unsorted

clothing coming in at the last minute. PLEASE help us with this.

Volunteers are needed:• Wednesday, March 2 at 6:30 pm to help bring the racks downstairs and to begin

the set up. (Youth are WELCOME to come and help with the set up.) • Thursday, March 3 from 6 pm – 8 pm.

• Saturday, March 5 from 8:30 am – 3 pm.

Sign-up sheets will be in the Sunday School folders closer to the shopping day.

CLOSETTHE

ACTS 20:35 Calvary will host the teacher appreciation luncheon again this year for the teachers and staff at McLaurin

on Thursday, August 11 at 12:00 in the CFLC. This will be a salad and dessert

luncheon. FOOD is needed. Please sign the sheet on the bulletin board or see Louanne Stewart to sign up. We also

need some hostesses to serve that day.
