SZX12 From 0.7× - 9×, the SZX12 offers azoom ratio of 1:12.86 — currentlyunmatched. Equally impressive is the31.43mm field diameter, achieved with a1× objective. The zoom body has anintegrated aperture diaphragm whichallows increased depth of focus controlfor high magnification, helping the SZX12to deliver an outstanding performance forimage observation and recording.

SZX9 With a magnification from 0.63× to5.7×, the SZX9's zoom ratio of 1 : 9.05puts it at the top of its class andcomplements the 34.92mm maximumfield diameter, achieved with a 1×objective. Transmitted, Reflected Or Light Guide Illumination: Now You Can Choose The Lighting System That SuitsThe Specimen.

A versatile lighting systems to meetdifferent observation requirements.Offering consistently bright, stable andeffective illumination, the SZX systemfeatures three different types of stands —all with 6V 30W light sources built in, andall sealed to accept moist as well as dryspecimen. Other components which canbe attached include a warm plate, a largeglass plate, manipulators and cold lightsources, ensuring complete suitability forobservations and experiments using livecells or egg cells. Reflected lightrequirements are met by such variedillumination devices as a coaxialilluminator, a dual flexible light guide anda ring light. These options allow users toundertake different kinds of stereomicroscopic observations on widelyvarying specimen types.

Large stage plate / SZX-CLThis component allows a 200 × 200mmglass plate to be attached to thetransmitted illuminator. With the platecovering almost the entire surface of thestand, it is easy to clean and sterilize thestage. By adding stand-offs one can liftthe glass plate by 22mm, and make itpossible to insert a panel illuminator, orsheets of background paper, to obtaindifferent lighting effects. The use of astage plate also effectively prevents thelight source from warming the specimen.
