    ?t/s About Style

Be6ore you start your /a*e you need to decide on a 6or*at or style o6 play# ?hichever style youchoose is up to you and your /roup# >o style is really better than another; but o6 course; you*ay 6ind one particular style 6its your needs better than the others#

Many :BeM /a*es are a 6ree6or* writin/ style with no dice rolls# The 7M /ives the playerssituations; and the players use pure roleplay to /et throu/h the /a*e; with the 7M interNectin/as thin/s chan/e# The 6reestyle syste* o66ers 6aster play; but can be chaotic at ti*es#

Rou *ay choose to have the players send the 7Ms their posts; then the 7M processes the turnand sends the results over the list to the players who then send bac9 their responses to the turn toco*plete the circle# In this style; either the 7M *a9es all the rolls or the players *a9e the rollsthat involve their characters and show the results in their replies# " variation on this style doesnAtuse a *ailin/ list at all; but sends all the e4*ails privately# This *eans *ore wor9 6or the 7M; in

that they will need to add descriptions o6 what the other players are doin/ to each post; insteado6 the players bein/ able to 6ind out by readin/ other playerAs posts# This style can be very slow;but it o66ers the 7M al*ost total control over the /a*e; as nothin/ /oes over the list that he orshe hasnAt read over and chan/ed; i6 need be#

inspect an obNect or area or per6or*s so*e action such as searchin/ 6or traps# The 7M can*a9e all rolls or the players can be allowed to *a9e the rolls speci6ic to their character# Thisstyle o66ers the players 6ull control over their roleplay; but still allows the 7M to chan/e the postsas responses are *ade and situations chan/e unepectedly# The 7M still has a lot o6 wor9 todo; but doesnAt have to *a9e a response to each and every post between players#
