LOCATIONEach Summer School will be held in one of these Turismo de Portugal schools: Douro- Lamego (North/Douro Valley area); Setúbal (Lisbon area) or Algarve (South Region).

The Summer Schools Program will take place in Portugal, in our Schools and will provide participants with personal, socialand technical skills which will enable them to gain specialized knowledge in Portuguese gastronomy and wines.
The participants will achieve theoretical and practical skills, develop a professional network and expand cultural horizons, enrich their careers and experience the best that Portugal (Europe’s Leading Destination 2018) has to offer.

Classes will be held in EnglishTraining sessions will be taught using active learning methodologies and practices with dynamic and innovative teaching resources (educational films, case studies, storytelling, etc.)Presentations by tourism entrepreneurs, experts and partnersThe program has a strong hands-on approach, practical work experience carried out at our Schools and local partners´ facilitiesDuring the program, students will receive a practical immersion course in Portuguese pastry and gastronomy They will also attend seminars and tastings of Portuguese winesAt the end of the training, trainees should perform a final test (written test or group assignment), in order to prove skills consolidation acquired throughout all training
By completing the entire course students will receive a Training Certificate in “Portuguese Gastronomy and Wines”. If attending the training course in modules,the student will receive a Certificate of Attendance, referring the modules successfully completed under the Summer School Program.
The programs here described may be adapted or altered considering the number of students, the chosen location, and/or circumstances beyond Turismo de Portugal Schools control.
