I. PURPOSE

The purpose of this policy is to provide CODE DATE GUARANTEE REQUIREMENTS TO DISTRIBUTION AND RETAIL for the products identified in the following charts to all Albertsons Companies warehouse operations and retail stores. This policy establishes the required shelf life necessary to ensure high quality products are delivered to our retail stores with sufficient shelf life remaining for optimal consumer satisfaction and shrink control.

II. SCOPE

This policy is applicable to all Albertsons Companies owned and contracted facilities where products are received, held (including cross-dock and trailer reserve), or handled. Product Quality issues can override these guidelines.

III. RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Corporate Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA): 1. Maintain and issue Albertsons Companies Code Date Guarantee Policy to Distribution

and Retail.

B. Warehouse 1. Work with Logistics and Supply Chain teams to develop detailed Standard Operating

Procedures (SOPs) and facility processes to ensure compliance with this policy. 2. Monitor adherence to such SOPs and processes on a daily basis as a priority. 3. Ensure that products arrive to their destinations with the required code guarantees. 4. Ensure the documented shelf life requirements are in compliance for products selected

and delivered to retail stores.

C. Supply Chain Procurement: 1. Communicate to all vendors the requirements of the Albertsons Companies Code Date

Guarantee Policy to Distribution and Retail. 2. Provide operational updates to this policy to meet the existing business requirements.
