    Proposed Natural Gas Pipeline

Enbridge Gas Distribution is proposing a new natural

gas pipeline to upgrade the existing natural gas

infrastructure and provide increased capacity to the

    growing communities ofBrampton, Mississauga,

Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, and Toronto.

The current pipeline has not been upgraded in over

20 years, yet the surrounding communities have

    grown substantially.

The proposed pipeline will begin in Milton and travel east to its Albion terminus in Vaughan. Part

of the pipeline project will travel through Mississauga, and more specifically, north of the railway

tracks that border the northern part of Ward 5 (see map). It will follow an existing utility

corridor where the existing Enbridge natural gas pipeline has been located for the past25 years. To learn more about this pipeline, please visit the Enbridge GTA Pipeline website.

Enbridge has made an application to approve the budget to the Ontario Energy Board (OEB),

the provincial organization responsible for approving this type of pipeline. In making its decision,

the OEB will take comments from the public. If you wish to provide feedback, you can visit
