Stephanie is wearing a zigzag maxi dress ($68.99), gold hoop earrings ($60.99) and black bracelets ($47.99) from Migi’s; denim shirt ($8) from Bargain Boutique; ivory boyfriend cardigan ($59) from Libby Story; and a white belt ($5) from Orange Peel.

Fall ’11 Trend

ReportPhotographer: Tate NationsFashion Stylist: Meredith W. SullivanModels: Stephanie Bowering and Shirley Kyles

Page 3: Fly Fall Style Trends 2011

Blazers Of GloryA fitted blazer has the ability to pull together your look and instantly add chic-ness. Look for the details in the buttons or the lining. You can also add your own pins to the lapel for a little pizzazz.

Shirley is wearing a tuxedo blazer ($108) and floral ankle pants ($48) from Libby Story; green oxford shirt ($8) from Bargain Boutique; ivory skinny belt ($29) from Azul Denim; and Chantilly lace chandelier earrings ($49) from Stella & Dot.

Doncaster wool blazer, Bargain Boutique, $30

Blue and white striped pants, Bargain Boutique, $8

Fancy PantsMake a statement this season in printed pants. If this trend is too bold for you, tone it down by pairing your fancy pants with a sharp blazer.

Page 4: Fly Fall Style Trends 2011

Stephanie is wearing a striped oversized sweater ($46.99) from Migi’s; ruffled slip ($26), gold lion necklace ($22) and Free People textured knee socks ($24) from Libby Story; gold rhinestone bangle ($44) and Ettika rhinestone bangle ($59) from Azul Denim; and brown fringe boots ($145) from The Shoebar at Pieces.

Suede fringe boots, The Shoebar at Pieces, $135

Fringe BenefitsFringe has always been a little bit country, a little bit rock ‘n’ roll, but it’s one of this season’s hottest trends. Retire those cowboy boots for the fall and rock the fringe!

Page 5: Fly Fall Style Trends 2011

Stephanie is wearing a printed maxi dress ($104), black braided bracelet ($14) and a Lucite bracelet ($14) from Libby Story; taupe shredded sweater ($38.99) from Migi’s; and revival tassel necklace ($79) from Stella & Dot.

Zig zag ruffled maxi dress, Migi’s, $68.99

Maxed OutMake the most of your summer maxi dresses by layering them with chunky sweaters, boyfriend cardigans or a chic blazer. Trade in your flip-flops for lace-up boots and you should be good to go!

Page 6: Fly Fall Style Trends 2011

Silk scarf with butterflies, Re-Reruns Consignment Shoppe, $1.50

Shirley is wearing an oversized sweater with a sequined bird ($44), orange lace trimmed skirt ($68) and silver triangle earrings ($16) from Libby Story; and a Chan Luu hand bracelet ($105) from The Shoebar at Pieces.

Orange CrushIt’s time to embrace the season’s signature color. All shades—from coral to terra cotta orange—are quite versatile. And if orange isn’t your thing, work in a pop of color with a silk scarf.

Leandra Medine, a New York City blogger also known as The Man Repeller, has termed the recent bracelet craze as an “arm party.” And being that I’m a huge fan of both (over) accessorizing and The Man Repeller, I had to gather up some guests for a party on my arm—well, both arms!

Layering makes me happy, because it’s the perfect way to maximize my entire wardrobe regardless of the season. When you fi nd a way

to wear a strapless mini dress year round, it’s one less thing you have to move to your “summer closet.” Perhaps my favorite thing about layering, though, is mixing prints. The combination of swirls and stripes in this look are quirky and fun, while the fur vest and black booties add a touch of chic. On cooler days (or nights), cover up your bare legs with a pair of black tights.

Holiday Handsby Meredith W. Sullivan

Ihad a hard time getting in the holiday spirit this year, but that quickly changed once I got my spirit fi ngers. I recently made a visit to AQUA the Day Spa to let Keisha Alexander show me the hottest shades for the holidays, and let me tell you—sparkles get me every time. It was too hard to choose just one color so she showed me how to layer polishes, and she even painted me an accent nail. If you’re like

me and need help getting in the mood or you just want a top-notch manicure, I say book an appointment with Keisha (or your favorite manicurist) pronto!
