Murano, Burano & Torcello

After sailing past the island of San Giorgio Maggio-re, the Public Gardens, the tip of Sant’Elena and the lido famous beach resort, the boat arrives at Murano, known throughout the world for its glass manufactu-ring industry. Here you have 40 minutes for a visit to one of the factories, and discover the magic of the glass. The second stop will be at the picturesque island of Burano, famous not only for its lace, but also for the fisherman’s houses painted in bright colors. The stop will last about 30 minutes. After a short sail, you will reach Torcello, the earliest centre of civilization in the lagoon. Only the Cathedral with its magnificent mo-saics and the church of Santa Fosca remains as the testimony of its former glory. This stop lasts about 30 minutes. Then the boat will make its way back to St. Mark’s Square.

Explore the famous islands of the Venice lagoon! You’ll watch glass-blowers at work on Murano, shop for lace on Burano and visit Venice’s first church on the tranquil island of Torcello.

After 30 minutes of navigation, you will arrive in Murano, where you can visit one of the famous glass factory placed there. The stop will be around 1 hour long.

Once you finished the visit of the factory you will depart to reach Burano. Burano, the fishermen island, is famous for its lace and trimmings. Get-ting off of the boat you will find a little street full of typical shops, restaurants and excellent bakeries where you can buy the famous “Buranelli” biscu-its. The stop in Burano will be around 1.30 hours.

The excursion includes the visit of Murano and Burano islands. These two islands are the most famous islands in the Venetian Lagoon!
