DE A R F R IE ND , Donna and I are excited about the

opportunity to share this refreshing and

relaxing cruise to Alaska. We will see first-

hand many of the wonderful splendors of

God’s creation. Imagine visiting a place

where the majesty of His handiwork lives

like nowhere else on earth—where glaciers

slide from the untamed wilderness into

waters filled with animals of all sorts. It’s so

stunning it will take your breath away!

We will spend seven nights cruising in

luxury aboard Holland America’s beautiful

Nieuw Amsterdam. From exciting port to

exciting port we’ll see quaint, little seaside

towns and sprawling cultural centers—but

just sitting on deck watching the beauty of

God’s handiwork as it floats by will create

never-to-be forgotten memories.

I will be teaching from the Bible each day

to encourage you as we grow together—all

in our very own private meeting room. We’ll

forge friendships that will last forever and

grow our roots in God’s Word even deeper.

Donna and I are eager to meet you and

share together in wonderful times of

fellowship with your family and friends on

this exciting Turning Point event and would

certainly enjoy sharing these seven exciting

days at sea with you. We can’t wait to meet

you on the first evening of this cruise!

Sincerely,

DEPART: 4:30 P.M.

INSIDE PASSAGE (SCENIC CRUISING)SUNDAY, JULY 16, 2017

TRACY ARM INLET, ALASKA MONDAY, JULY 17, 10:00 A.M. – 10:30 A.M.

The Sawyer Glaciers may not have the name recognition of Glacier Bay, but the dramatic view of these translucent ice sheets at the end of Tracy Arm Fjord—located south of Juneau and almost always shrouded in impossibly blue mist—is a sight you’ll never forget. The glaciers are framed by two granite mountains, each rising 3,000 feet above the ocean. The fjord itself weaves through 35 miles of the Tongass National Forest, its shoreline populated with waterfalls, wolves, bears, bald eagles and much more.

JUNEAU, ALASKAMONDAY, JULY 17, 1:00 P.M. – 10:00 P.M.

Alaska’s capital city was founded in 1880 during a gold rush. Today, there’s a different kind of rush going on, as visitors flock to the adventure waiting for them at this popular destination, where lush forests and towering mountains crash up against the icy Gastineau Channel. The enormous Mendenhall Glacier lurks nearby, as do the Juneau icefields and the Tongass National Forest. From hiking, fishing, or ziplining to whale-watching and shopping, this modern city with a frontier past is nestled amid nature’s vast playground.

SKAGWAY, ALASKA TUESDAY, JULY 18, 7:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M.

Located north of Juneau and just miles from the Canadian border, Skagway is known for its role as the gateway to the Klondike Gold Rush in 1897. This small town in the Alaskan Panhandle has become one of the state’s most popular tourist stops, appreciated for its charming wooden sidewalks, historic downtown and scenic surrounding wilderness.

GLACIER BAY WEDNESDAY, JULY 19, 7:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.

Only a few exclusive cruise lines have been given access to the waters of Glacier Bay, a U.S. National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located west of Juneau, the glassy surface of this impossibly scenic body of water is surrounded by deep fjords, green forests, snowcapped mountains and countless massive tidewater glaciers. Passengers often enjoy breathtaking views of icebergs calving off the walls of ice and splashing into the cold waters below.

KETCHIKAN, ALASKATHURSDAY, JULY 20, 10:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.

Here in the “Salmon Capital of the World,” the stilted houses and colorful shops of the historic Creek Street boardwalk welcome visitors. The world’s largest collection of standing totem poles—distributed among four locations in the area—call attention to the artistry and culture of native Alaska. This island location is surrounded by verdant forests, rugged peaks, rushing waterfalls and all the natural beauty for which this state is famous. Weathered and unique, Ketchikan is authentic Alaska.
