How many sessions will you attend every week?

Why not set yourself a target?

How many FL clubs did you attend last half-term? This half-term there

will be a trip on offer to pupils who have been regularly attending FL.

Make sure you get your name on the register of every club you attend

for future trips.

Competition Time!

Last Half-term, Robinson House came out on

top with their House having the most pupils

attend FL.

Which House will come out on top this half-

term.

How can you help?

Please discuss the enclosed timetable of activities with your child and encourage them to

participate in as many sessions as possible. Try to look for opportunities to attend

intervention sessions or participate in enrichment activities. Reading at home is a good way

to improve pupil literacy and should be encouraged. In addition, there are a wide range of

websites and APPs available to support pupil learning. These include BBC Bite-size/My

Maths/S-cool/Moodle.

Flexible Learning Projects (FLPs)

These are an opportunity for pupils to develop their learning outside the classroom, through

a series of bespoke projects. The projects are cross-curricular and aim to develop pupils’

knowledge and skills. Each project is designed to encourage independent learning,

creativity, time management and organisational skills. It is hoped that pupils will utilise the

facilities in the Hub to help present their work. We also welcome parental input and try to

make each project interesting and challenging.

Further Learning

‘Further Learning’ is learning that takes place outside of the classroom when pupils are at

home. Each half term, pupils will receive a ‘Further Learning’ booklet with a wide variety of

suggested, subject specific activities which they can select from. The second booklet will be

Issued this half term.

FLPs this half term:

Year 7 = An English Based Project

Year 8 = Careers Project
